Team News

Danny Welbeck is expected to miss out here after missing the last two matches, while Mats Wieffer picked up a knock in the draw with West Ham United. Jack Hinshelwood and Ferdi Kadioglu are both in contention to return, however.

Matt O'Riley was an unused substitute against the Hammers, so could be handed a start on Friday and Joao Pedro is expected to lead the line for the Seagulls.

As for the visitors, Mads Roerslev should be fit enough to feature after suffering a cut against Nottingham Forest, while Sepp van den Berg is in contention after recovering from a groin issue.

Kristoffer Ajer and Ethan Pinnock are both out until 2025, joining Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Igor Thiago and Josh Dasilva in the treatment room.

Brighton are 7/10 to claim all three points, giving them an implied win probability of 58.8%, while the draw can be backed at 100/30 and a Brentford win is currently priced up at 18/5.

Joao Pedro leads the anytime goalscorer market at 5/4, while Bryan Mbeumo is shortest-priced for the visitors at 12/5.

Brighton & Hove Albion to win @ 7/10

As mentioned in the introduction, neither team enter Friday's contest in great form.

Brighton are without a win in five, although they have drawn three of those games, while the Bees have lost four of their last five across all competitions and their away record has been poor throughout the campaign.

Despite sitting 12th in the table and just five points off the top six, Thomas Frank's side have the worst away record in the English top flight this season, picking up just a solitary point from eight road fixtures.

Meanwhile, Brighton have only lost once in front of their own fans this term, beating the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City at the Amex.

Kaoru Mitoma to score anytime @ 9/5

The goalscoring burden for Brighton has been shared out between multiple players - 13 to be precise - with one of them being high-flying winger Kaoru Mitoma.

The Japan international has unleashed 32 shots in his 17 league appearances to date this term, including five across his last two outings against Crystal Palace and West Ham, suggesting he gets on the end of plenty of chances. In addition, Mitoma has had 13 shots on target in 17 appearances this season, which is the joint-highest amount in the Brighton team - along with Welbeck.

The 27-year-old has scored previously against the Bees too, scoring in the 3-3 draw between the pair last season. He's contributed to 19 per cent of Brighton's league goals this season, so he looks a decent pick to score anytime on Friday.
