Brentford will be gunning for a fifth-straight victory in the Premier League when they welcome west London rivals Fulham to the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday (15:00). The Bees have been one of the form sides in recent weeks, which cannot be said for the visitors.

The Cottagers have lost four of their past five outings in the top flight and are looking like they are on the beach already. Below you will find my Brentford vs Fulham predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Brentford's Igor Thiago made an appearance from the bench in last week's victory at Ipswich Town following a spell on the sidelines. Their club-record signing's first year in west London has been plagued by injury and that is something both parties will want to prevent from happening in the future.

Aaron Hickey recently returned to training after his own period of time in the medical bay, but he is yet to feature in a matchday squad. Vitaly Janelt has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a heel issue.

The same goes for Fabio Carvalho, with the attacker suffering with a shoulder problem. So the Bees are expected to continue with an attacking quartet of Bryan Mbeumo, Mikkel Damsgaard, Kevin Schade and Yoane Wissa.

Brentford vs Fulham Stats

  • Brentford have won four PL matches in a row
  • Fulham have lost four of their last five games
  • Kevin Schade (BRE) has three goals in his past two outings

Fulham are without the services of Reiss Nelson (hamstring), Rodrigo Muniz (Achilles), Harrison Reed (calf) and Timothy Castagne (ankle) due to injury.

Left-back Antonee Robinson was not in the squad in the defeat to Everton last time out, resulting in Ryan Sessegnon filling in on that side of the defence. It remains to be seen if the American will be back in contention for the trip to Brentford.

Raul Jimenez will continue to lead the line for the Cottagers, while width may be provided once again by Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi, with Emile Smith Rowe operating in between them.

Brentford vs Fulham Odds

Brentford have won four games in a row and they are 20/21, which has an implied probability of 51.2%, to prevail again.

The Bees have drawn two of their past five league outings on home soil and the stalemate is priced at 14/5.

Fulham have one victory in their previous five away trips in the top flight and they are 11/4 to stun the hosts.

Over 3.5 goals has been a successful bet in Brentford's last two home matches and it is marketed at 13/8 on this occasion.

Brentford to win @ 20/21

Momentum is with Brentford right now as they rank third in the Premier League form table over the past six matches. They have picked up two draws which were followed by four wins, setting them up nicely for a strong end to the campaign.

The hosts should be full of confidence coming into this clash because of their form, but also due to the fact that they are at home and their opponents' inconsistency presents them with a huge opportunity to extend their winning streak.

Brentford have a chance of securing European football next season, as do Fulham, but their form is hindering their chances as they are four points behind their hosts with two games to go.

It could change with a win at the Gtech, but I'm backing the Bees to sting the Cottagers, who will be out to avenge their late defeat at Craven Cottage back in November.

Kevin Schade anytime goalscorer @ 2/1

Brentford have had to wait for Kevin Schade to come good but there have been times this season that the winger has showed why they invested in him.

The German has bagged 11 goals in the Premier League this term across 36 appearances (24 starts), and he looks to be growing in west London, which could help prepare him for an even bigger role next year.

His attacking returns are impressive, which also include two assists, but of course all the focus has been on Mbeumo and Wissa, who have scored 18 goals apiece.

Schade is the player in the best of form heading into Sunday, though, with three goals in his past two outings in the top flight. I think he's good value to get on the scoresheet again.
