Bournemouth host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday (14:00, Sky Sports Premier League) with the Cherries looking to build on last week's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The Magpies were 1-0 winners over Southampton and will be hoping they can topple another team from the south coast for the second week in a row. Below I have outlined my Bournemouth vs Newcastle bet builder tips that are priced up at 4/1.

Alexander Isak anytime goalscorer

It was surprising to see it wasn't this man who was the match-winner for Newcastle last week, but he did of course provide the assist for Joelinton. Alexander Isak will be hoping that he can get up and running in the Premier League this weekend, as he will be eager to surpass last year's tally of 21 goals.

Isak is the Magpies' most prized asset and they have done well to keep hold of him this summer as there had been murmurs that some of the big dogs across Europe were monitoring his progress.

He is going to be essential for Eddie Howe this term as they bid to make a return to the top four, or at least the European places. One thing going for them this year is that without European football, they will have a neat-looking schedule, which should benefit Howe and his players.

This will suit Isak as it will reduce the risk of being worn out or picking up an injury, and while the season is still young, he will be full of energy, which is why I fancy him to get on the scoresheet.

Joelinton to commit 2+ fouls

Newcastle missed Joelinton for much of last season due to injury, so they will have been delighted to see him score last week. But it wasn't just in the final third where he was busy.

The Brazilian committed four fouls against Southampton and was quite fortunate to escape without a booking. His tenacious energy never sees him pull out of a challenge, and the mantra for the Magpies is for them to show aggression to try and win the ball back quickly after they lose it.

I think Joelinton will be drawn into more challenges in the Premier League this weekend when he comes up against Bournemouth, so I think he can at least reach half of last week's quota.

Dan Burn to commit 1+ fouls

I also expect his teammate Dan Burn to commit at least one foul in this match. The towering defender registered three last time out and it is clear that he struggles with attackers who have speed. That is exactly what he is going to be up against with the likes of Antoine Semenyo, Justin Kluivert and Luis Sinisterra.

Then there is the big and powerful centre-forward Evanilson, who Bournemouth have splashed a club-record fee on to replace Dominic Solanke. The Brazilian is likely to be handed his first start for the Cherries here, and I think he can cause Burn all sorts of problems.

Both teams to scores - Yes

With the attacking players mentioned above for the hosts, as well as the likes of Isak, Anthony Gordon and Joelinton for Newcastle, I am confident that we will see both teams find the back of the net in this fixture.

It has been a winning selection in Bournemouth's last three Premier League matches, too, so I can see that trend continuing on Saturday. These are two sides that have big ambitions for 2024/25, and they are both looking to build on their impressive starts to the new term.
