Bournemouth vs Leicester Prediction: Cherries to see Foxes off in style

AFC Bournemouth's faint hopes of qualifying for Europe were crushed on Tuesday as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Manchester City, a result that means the Cherries can finish no higher than ninth. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace's 4-2 victory over Wolves on the same night has pulled the Eagles to within a point of Andoni Iraola's side, who could drop from 11th to 12th on the final day of the season if they lose at home to Leicester City (15:00) and the FA Cup winners avoid defeat at Liverpool.
Below are my Bournemouth vs Leicester predictions, complete with all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of Sunday's head-to-head at the Vitality Stadium.

Team News
Lewis Cook will miss Bournemouth's final game of the 2024/25 season after receiving a red card at the Etihad in midweek.
The English midfielder will watch on from the stands alongside injured quintet Ryan Christie, Dango Ouattara (both groin), Enes Unal (knee), Luis Sinisterra (hamstring) and Alex Scott (jaw).
Milos Kerkez is reportedly on his way out of Bournemouth this summer, with Premier League champions Liverpool hotly-tipped to secure his signature. The Hungarian left-back should start on Sunday, though, before making way late on for Julio Soler, as he did against Man City on Tuesday.
David Brooks, Adam Smith and Daniel Jebbison, who scored his first Premier League goal for the Cherries in Manchester, could also earn starts, although another cameo role is likely for Jebbison.
Bournemouth vs Leicester Stats
- Bournemouth have scored 4+ goals three times in this season's PL
- Leicester have conceded 4+ goals on four occasions in 24/25 PL
- Antoine Semenyo (BOU) needs one goal to reach 10 in the PL this term
Jamie Vardy made a fitting farewell to Leicester supporters last Sunday, opening the scoring in his side's 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town. That was the veteran striker's final appearance for the Foxes, opening up a space in the starting XI this weekend.
Patson Daka came on for Vardy against the Tractor Boys, and the Zambia international could lead the line on the South Coast.
Brighton & Hove Albion loanee Facundo Buonanotte will hope for minutes as he prepares to say goodbye to Leicester, while we can expect more minutes to be given to 15-year-old Jeremy Monga and 16-year-old Jake Evans, who both came off the bench last Sunday.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Stephy Mavididi (both muscle), Harry Souttar (ankle), Mats Hermansen (groin) and Abdul Fatawu (knee) remain sidelined for Ruud van Nistelrooy's side.
It's also likely to be Van Nistelrooy's final game in charge of the Foxes, as reports suggest he will be axed after a meek attempt to keep the club in the Premier League.
Bournemouth are red-hot favourites to conclude their campaign with a victory, with odds of 4/11 implying a 73.3% probability, while Leicester, who beat the Cherries 1-0 under Steve Cooper in October, are 15/2, or an 11.8% chance, to do the double over Iraola's side.
The draw is priced at 9/2, both teams to score at 8/11, and over 2.5 total goals at 1/2.
Home Team Total Goals - Over 3.5 @ 3/1
The goals have dried up for Bournemouth since mid-April, with the Cherries scoring just five times in their last six games.
However, with the pressure now off and Leicester at home in their final match of the season, I'm expecting the goals to flow on Sunday.
Leicester may have kept two clean sheets in their last three games, but they were both at home to fellow relegated clubs Southampton and Ipswich Town, and in their last away contest, they conceded twice to Nottingham Forest - three times at Wolves before that.
The Foxes have conceded 4+ times on four separate occasions in the Premier League this season, and they were hit for five in the Carabao Cup by Manchester United.
Bournemouth have scored 4+ goals on three occasions in the top flight this term, and they'll be looking for revenge after losing 1-0 at Leicester last October.
There's a lot of firepower in the Cherries' attack, with Justin Kluivert (12) and Evanilson (10) into double figures for goals, while Antoine Semenyo (nine) is just one off joining his fellow forwards, and Leicester, who have been breached 78 times this season, could struggle to cope with their opponents' intensity on Sunday.

Anytime Goalscorer - Antoine Semenyo (BOU) @ 6/4
Semenyo scored his ninth Premier League goal of the season in Bournemouth's 1-1 draw against Manchester United on April 27, but the Ghana international has been unable to add to his tally in the Cherries' last three games.
The 25-year-old, who scored eight league goals in 2023/24, will surely be desperate to reach double digits in his side's season finale against the Foxes.
He's recorded at least one shot on target in Bournemouth's last five home games, so he'll be confident of troubling Leicester's goal on Sunday.
I'm already backing Iraola's side to score at least four times, so there's a fair chance Semenyo will be one of the names on the scoresheet. He's worth taking on at 6/4, in my opinion.
