AFC Bournemouth host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon (16:30) as Jurgen Klopp's side look to cope without star man Mohamed Salah for the next few weeks, or potentially longer after the the Egyptian picked up an injury at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Reds lead the way in the top-flight with 45 points and they will have an opportunity to extend their lead over Aston Villa, who were held to a draw with Liverpool last weekend, and Manchester City, with both clubs just two points behind them.

We have put together a 7/1 bet builder for you to consider ahead of this Super Sunday contest.

Liverpool to win

It feels like deja vu again in the Premier League. It's the turn of the New Year and Manchester City are coming to the party. Pep Guardiola's ferocious side are already looking like they are going to be as dangerous in this half of the season as they were last year, in which they want on a 12-game winning run to defend their crown and deny Arsenal.

Kevin De Bruyne made his triumphant return against Newcastle last week and scored and assisted from the bench in their dramatic 3-2 victory. This only strengthens their chances of becoming the first team in history to win four consecutive Premier League titles.

So Liverpool need to be at their very best if they are to deny their rivals such an achievement and claim their second league title under Klopp. They are doing well in that regard so far as they are enjoying a run of 13 games unbeaten, with their last defeat being the controversial defeat to Tottenham Hotspur back in September.

There have been eight wins during that run but they will know that they will have to win a lot more if they are to snatch the title away from City's grasp. They head to the south coast this weekend to face a Bournemouth side that have been evolving under Andoni Iraola.

The Cherries will certainly make things difficult for Klopp's men and it won't be easy without Salah, but there is still enough quality in their ranks to come away with another valuable three points.

Both teams to score

We do expect this match to be a challenge for Liverpool because the hosts have been very impressive of late. They were beaten on their last outing at Tottenham, but before that they had enjoyed a four-game winning streak and an unbeaten run of seven.

Former Reds striker Dominic Solanke can certainly ask a few questions of his old side, with 12 goals already in the league. He has five in his last four league appearances so he will be heading into Sunday's clash full of confidence.

He is Bournemouth's biggest goal threat but he is supported by Philip Billing, Marcus Tavernier and Justin Kluivert, who have all been on the scoresheet more than once this season.

Alexis Mac Allister to be carded

When it comes to yellow cards, no Liverpool player has picked up more than Argentine midfielder Alex Mac Allister this year (five). The former Brighton & Hove Albion man has a habit for committing multiple fouls in matches, 23 to be precise, and only Luis Diaz has been penalised more for the Reds.

Mac Allister plays with aggression and he tries to control a game through reading it, just as much as when he has the ball at his feet. Sometimes it leads to him being successful when stopping an opposition attack, in others it sees him getting a stern word from the referee.

The Cherries will provide a tough test for Liverpool and Mac Allister will have his work cut out for him in trying to cut out their bursting attacks which have been profitable in recent weeks. He still has a lot to learn on the defensive side of his game as he still has some recklessness in his play. We like his chances of going into the book again this weekend.
