We're into the crucial Round of 16 second leg ties in the Champions League and on Wednesday night (20:00), we've got a intriguingly balanced tie from Germany, where Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven are locked at 1-1. We've previewed the second leg and given you our betting predictions for the action.

Borussia Dortmund vs PSV Betting Tips

  • Borussia Dortmund to win - 11/10
  • Donyell Malen to score and be carded - 16/1

Both of these teams come into this vital game in excellent form, with Dortmund losing just one of their last 12 games in all competitions and PSV even better with just one loss in their last 28 games.

There was nothing between the two sides in Eindhoven either, with a Luuk de Jong penalty cancelling out Donyell Malen's opener to leave the tie delicately poised.

Team news

Sebastian Haller is still out with a troubling ankle injury for Dortmund, who also have Nico Schlotterbeck suspended after picking up a third yellow card in the first leg.

Attacking midfielder Noa Lang doesn't make the trip to Germany here after suffering a niggling hamstring issue.

Match odds

Dortmund come into this crucial match-up as the 11/10 favourites giving them a 48% chance of victory, with PSV 9/4 to get the job done on the road. The draw is also available at 11/4.

In the other major markets, goals look an absolute shoo-in at 8/15 for over 2.5 and both teams to score is priced at just 1/2.

Borussia Dortmund to win - 11/10

There doesn't look to be a huge amount between these two teams but I'm banking on the hostile atmosphere of the Westfalenstadion to drag the hosts over the finishing line.

Dortmund are incredibly strong at home and PSV haven't made it into the Champions League quarter-finals since 2007, so have had problems getting the job done in the later stages.

Donyell Malen to score and be carded - 16/1

Malen came through the PSV academy and spent four seasons in Eindhoven, so will be bang up for it against his former club.

The 25-year-old netted in the first leg, for his 12th strike of the season and will be croaking to add to that tally here.

He has also picked up five cautions in the Bundesliga thus far and I like the chances of a fired up man on a mission to score and be carded.
