Bologna welcome Monaco to Renato Dall'Ara in the Champions League on Tuesday (20:00, TNT Sports 6), still searching for their first win in Europe, managing just a single point from their first three fixtures. The Italian side have lost just once in Serie A this term though, and they are currently eight games unbeaten in the league.

Monaco are unbeaten in the Champions League so far with seven points earned, but they have been beaten in their last two Ligue 1 appearances, potentially knocking their confidence for this European trip. Read on for my Bologna vs Monaco prediction, including match odds and team news.

Bologna vs Monaco Betting Tips

Bologna vs Monaco Odds

Bologna are 7/4, or a 36.4% chance, to win this match. Monaco are valued at 8/5 to take the three points, giving them an implied probability of 38.5%. The draw is available at 30.3%.

Over 2.5 goals can be backed at 5/6, while both teams to score is marketed at 4/6.

Monaco duo Takumi Minamino and Maghnes Akliouche have scored two goals in the Champions League so far, and they are 3/1 and 7/2 respectively to score anytime.

Team News

Bologna welcomed back Lewis Ferguson from injury at the weekend, as the Scotsman made a late substitute appearance in the 1-0 win over Lecce in Serie A, having been out of action since April. He could be in contention for another cameo appearance on Tuesday.

Manager Vincenzo Italiano remains without the services of Martin Erlic, Michel Aebischer, Charalampos Lykogiannis and Oussama El Azzouzi due to injury, however.

Swiss internationals Dan Ndoye and Remo Freuler could start this encounter opposite their international teammate, Breel Embolo, for Monaco.

Another Switzerland star for the visitors, Denis Zakaria, has been missing for his side's last two encounters with an abductor problem, suggesting that it is unlikely we will see him involved on Tuesday.

Former Arsenal man Folarin Balogun and ex-Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu are ruled out for Monaco due to their respective injuries. Boss Adi Hutter will be given a boost heading to Italy, though, as Vanderson and Jordan Teze are available following their suspensions.

Draw @ 23/10

Bologna are hoping for more joy in the Champions League after just one point from their first three matches, but they will be feeling as though they can get a result against Monaco.

The visitors have suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season in Ligue 1, although they are yet to lose in Europe. This is the first real setback Hutter's side have experienced this term, and they know that Bologna is going to be a tough place to visit.

They may be waiting for their first win, but Bologna made both Liverpool and Aston Villa work hard for their victories, which were both in the UK, and they held Shakhtar Donetsk to a goalless draw on home soil.

I Rossoblu are also yet to be beaten at home in all competitions, further highlighting the challenge Monaco have in front of them. Yet, I do not feel like this is the game to back Bologna to win in Europe.

Monaco have suffered a blip domestically, but they have been very strong in the Champions League, and that will give them confidence heading into Tuesday. Bologna have still a way to go before they are firing on all cylinders, and Monaco's attack has been performing much better in 2024/25.

I think there could be a couple of goals on offer in this fixture, but knowing that Bologna haven't lost a game at home, a draw feels like the sensible selection here.

Both teams to score @ 4/6

The odds may not suggest it, but this is a brave selection if I'm being honest. We are yet to see goals at both ends in a Champions League fixture involving Bologna, but it feels like now is the time in which we need to see more from them offensively, while Monaco have had no problem with scoring goals in Europe with nine already.

Bologna are in fact waiting for their first goal in Europe, and it feels like we could bear witness to it on Tuesday given their recent wins in the league, on top of Monaco's to domestic defeats. I also like the look of this market because BTTS has been a winning selection in three of their four home matches at Renato Dall'Ara.

For Monaco, we have seen goals at both ends in all three of their Champions League fixtures so far, while a further two of their away matches in Ligue 1 has seen BTTS land.

At the midway point of the league phase, Bologna's attackers really need to start delivering if they wish to progress to the next stage of the competition, and so I believe we will see them bag their first goal of the campaign, while I have no doubt that we will see Monaco get on the scoresheet.
