Tottenham Hotspur will feel that they have one foot in the Uefa Europa League final as they travel to Bodo/Glimt on Thursday (20:00, TNT Sports 2) for the second leg of their semi-final tie with a two-goal lead. Spurs defeated the Norwegian outfit 3-1 in north London a week ago but the late consolation for Bodo/Glimt has given them something to build on in their home leg.

Read on for my Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham Hotspur predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Daniel Bassi is set to miss out for Bodo/Glimt again with a leg injury but boss Kjetil Knutsen will be boosted by the returns of Andreas Helmersen, Hakon Evjen and captain Patrick Berg, who were all suspended for the first leg.

The latter two are expected to be drafted back into the midfield to join Ulrik Saltnes. Forward Kasper Hogh will operate up top once again having struck seven goals in the UEL so far, the joint-most in the competition alongside Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) and Ayoub El Kabi (Olympiacos).

Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham Hotspur Stats

  • Bodo/Glimt have won seven of their eight home games of the main draw in the Europa League
  • Dominic Solanke (TOT) has four goals in the Europa League

Spurs are without Radu Dragusin due to a long-term ACL injury. James Maddison, who scored in the first leg, was later taken off with a knee issue and he is set to miss the rest of the season as a result, while Lucas Bergvall (ankle) is also ruled out for the trip to Bodo.

Dejan Kulusevski should fill the creative void left by Maddison in the middle of the park, while he should link up with Rodrigo Bentancur and one of Pape Matar Sarr or Yves Bissouma.

Dominic Solanke (thigh) and Son Heung-min (foot) will be hoping to shake off their problems to feature on Thursday, with the former scoring in successive Europa League appearances.

Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie were Ange Postecoglou's back four for the first leg and they are expected to line up again in Norway.

Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds

The hosts have won seven of their eight home matches in the main draw of the Europa League and they are 13/8 (which has an implied probability of 38.1%) to win in regulation time.

Tottenham have drawn two of their past five fixtures across all competitions heading into Thursday and the stalemate is available at 16/5. Spurs are 7/5 to prevail inside 90 minutes, and they've won three of their previous four games in Europe.

Both teams to score has been a successful bet in three of the visitors' last four outings in the UEL and BTTS is marketed at 8/15 on Thursday.

Bodo/Glimt and both teams to score @ 3/1

Everyone keeps going on about the tough conditions away teams face when heading to Bodo, which is 200km north of the Arctic Circle. Temperatures are set to be no higher than five degrees celcius during the game, so it is going to be tough for Tottenham to acclimatise to such gruelling conditions at Aspmyra Stadion.

This often plays into the hosts' hands as they have already stunned a few of the Europa League's big guns on home turf, including Lazio in the last round, Olympiacos and Porto.

The late consolation goal at Spurs last Thursday could be crucial as I do fancy Bodo/Glimt to come out on top in this home leg. Whether it's enough to book their place in the final is another matter.

The Norwegian outfit have won six of their seven matches at home in the main draw of the competition, with their only defeat coming at the hands of Qarabag. The players are adapted to the conditions, which are going to prove tough for Tottenham.

I've added BTTS to the selection because it has struck in three of Tottenham's last four matches in the Europa League, as well as four on the bounce across all competitions.

Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham Hotspur - Match Result & Both Teams to Score Bodo/Glimt & Yes

Dominic Solanke anytime goalscorer @ 9/5

Spurs striker Solanke is confident that he will be available to play in Norway and if that is the case, he is set to lead the line for the visitors and he will come into this match in decent form.

The Englishman has three goals in as many appearances across all competitions coming into this match, with two coming in his previous two outings in the Europa League (against Eintracht Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt).

Both those goals were from the penalty spot but this is why I think he could be a smart selection to score on Thursday. He's responsible for spot-kicks and he has been successful on the past two occasions in which he has stepped up, the first time that he has done so for Spurs this season.
