After playing out an exciting 2-2 draw at the City Ground over a week ago, Blackpool welcome Nottingham Forest to Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night (19:45) for their FA Cup third-round replay.

The Tricky Trees had to salvage the replay after going 2-0 down to the Tangerines but they will be replenished for this meeting after not having played a competitive match in between. Blackpool on the other hand, have been in Bristol Street Motors Trophy and League One action over the past week, beating Burton Albion and Exeter City respectively.

Blackpool vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tips

  • Blackpool to win in 90 minutes - 11/4
  • Over 2.5 goals - 4/6

Match Odds

Blackpool are 11/4 to knock out Forest for the second successive year in the FA Cup. A draw can be backed at the same odds, while Forest are 9/10 to get their revenge on the Tangerines.

Both teams to score is priced at 8/13. Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 4/6.

Team News

Blackpool have a few injuries to contend with ahead of this replay. Jake Beesley, Demi Mitchell, Kylian Kouassi, Caleb Watts and Jack Fitzwater are all sidelined. Matthew Pennington, Will Aimson and Harry Kite are doubts to feature.

Forest are without several players due to their involvement at the Africa Cup of Nations. Cheikhou Kouyate, Willy Boly, Serge Aurier, Ibrahim Sangare, Ola Aina and Moussa Niakhate are all partaking in the tournament.

Taiwo Awoniyi and Felipe are out of action through injury. Anthony Elanga and Divock Origi are doubts to take part after picking up knocks recently.

Blackpool to win in 90 minutes @ 11/4

We think there is value to be had in backing the League One outfit in this replay because not only did they perform well at the City Ground in the reverse fixture, but they also knocked out Forest at this stage of the competition last year, winning 4-1 at Bloomfield Road.

Neil Critchley's side may not be as fresh heading into this having played an extra two games than their opponents since the original fixture, but the game is on turf and that factor could play an important role in the outcome of this tie.

Forest haven't been great away from home this season, winning just two out of 10. Those players who were humbled by Blackpool last year may feel a bit unnerved at having to return to Lancashire, and the hosts could be handed a psychological advantage on Tuesday night.

Blackpool have had to manage two games since their last encounter with Forest but they won both of them, which will have seen their confidence rise. They will be raring to go in this one and we fancy them to send the Tricky Trees crashing out again.

Blackpool to win in 90 minutes at 11/4

Over 2.5 goals @ 4/6

We are also admirers of this market because this fixture has delivered plenty of goals in recent years. Over 2.5 goals has landed in their last five encounters across the FA Cup and Championship. It doesn't seem to matter which division they are in or how many separate them, there will be goals whenever they face one another.

Their encounter the other week was exciting and we don't expect the replay to be any different, even if both sides make changes. The onus will be on Forest to not get fazed by last year's exit at the hands of the Tangerines and Nuno Espirito Santo will want to see his side play with confidence. A win on away soil would boost their morale as they look to avoid the drop in the Premier League.

For Blackpool, Critchley will encourage his players to play with freedom and we're sure that they will be able to create more than enough chances against Forest on home soil.

Over 2.5 goals at 4/6
