Blackburn Rovers welcome Queens Park Rangers to Ewood Park on Saturday (12:30, Sky Sports+) in the Championship, hoping to improve on last week's performance against Preston North End in what was a goalless draw.

QPR are proving tough to beat at the moment as they are unbeaten in their last five league matches, drawing four of them. Below you will find my Blackburn vs QPR prediction, featuring the latest match odds and team news.

Blackburn vs QPR Betting Tips

  • Blackburn and both teams to score @ 3/1
  • Yuki Ohashi anytime goalscorer @ 7/4

Blackburn vs QPR Odds

Blackburn are 1/1 to win this match, which gives them a theoretical chance of 50%. QPR are valued at 13/5 to take the three points, giving them an implied probability of 27.8%. The draw is also available at 13/5.

Over 2.5 goals is priced at 10/11 and both teams to score can be backed at 4/5. Rovers' Yuki Ohashi has four goals in the Championship already, and he is 7/4 to score anytime on Saturday, or 5/1 to open proceedings.

QPR forward Michael Frey has found the back of the net on three occasions, and he is 3/1 to score at any stage of this contest.

Team News

Last week's draw with Preston saw Owen Beck sent off for Blackburn for a reckless challenge. The Liverpool loanee is now unavailable for their next three matches, starting this weekend against QPR. So boss John Eustace will be forced into at least one change for this fixture.

Harry Pickering will be primed to come into the side for the next three games, while Andreas Weimann and Makhtar Gueye could be pushing for starts after the team's flat performance at Deepdale.

Eustace could also decide to hand full debuts to deadline day arrivals Todd Cantwell and Amario Cozier-Duberry to freshen up the attacking areas.

For QPR, Ilias Chair and Morgan Fox remain out of action due to injury. Elsewhere, Marti Cifuentes could be tempted to freshen things up out wide, potentially replacing Koki Saito with Paul Smyth.

Loanee Karamoko Dembele will be hard to shift from the starting lineup, however, as the summer recruit has had a big impact at Loftus Road since his arrival from Brest.

Blackburn and both teams to score @ 3/1

Blackburn have been excellent when playing at home this season, winning all three of their league outings at Ewood Park. Rovers remain one of three sides yet to taste defeat in the league this season (alongside leaders West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United).

Last week was their worst performance of the season so far and yet they still came away with a point and a clean sheet. This only bodes well for their home form to continue being strong for the foreseeable, in my opinion.

QPR will provide them with a stern test as five games unbeaten is not to be underestimated, particularly when they have faced two sides relegated from the Premier League in Sheffield United and Luton Town.

The Rs are looking just as tough as they were when Cifuentes had them ticking last year, there is certainly no fear when they face an opponent, and it'll be the same again when they head to Blackburn.

It should be a very interesting fixture because both sides are in strong form, but I think the home advantage will play its part and Blackburn will keep their winning streak at Ewood Park going.

Considering they were widely perceived as one of the favourites for relegation this year, Blackburn have been tearing up the script so far, and that is what Eustace can do with a club that people are betting against, just like we saw with him at Birmingham City.

I think Rovers will overcome last week's speed bump and get back to winning ways, but unlike their last home game against Bristol City, I am not expecting them to keep a clean sheet against QPR.

Yuki Ohashi anytime goalscorer @ 7/4

What a start this man has had to life at Blackburn following his summer transfer from Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Ohashi has four goals in the league so far and only Josh Maja (six) and Duncan Watmore (five) have more than the Rovers forward.

He is already establishing himself as a fan favourite for his performances but also the goals that he has scored, with his brace against Bristol City a couple of weeks ago being a couple of beauties.

Ohashi looks to be enjoying himself when playing at home because that is where three of his goals have been scored so far. He will be feeling confident ahead of this latest clash against QPR after his double against the Robins. I think he can play a starring role for his team once again, so I am confident we will see him get on the scoresheet.
