With 17 wins from their first 21 games in the Championship this season, Leicester City are flying high as they prepare for Monday night’s trip to Birmingham City (KO, 20:00).

The Foxes head to St Andrew’s knowing they can move three points clear at the top of the standings following Ipswich Town’s stalemate at home to Norwich City on Saturday.

Birmingham have been struggling for consistency under manager Wayne Rooney and face a tough test against the in-form Foxes on Monday.

  • Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to score anytime @ 12/5

Team News

Starting with Birmingham, Jay Stansfield is expected to start against the Foxes despite coming off with a knock in a 1-0 win over Cardiff City last time out.

Ethan Laird and Cody Drameh are set to be sidelined until after the New Year due to hip and ankle injuries respectively, while the game will come too soon for forward Tyler Roberts as he recovers from a calf strain.

As for the visitors, Leicester boss Enzo Maresca will have to do without veteran striker Jamie Vardy as he’s set to miss a third-straight game with a knee issue.

Callum Doyle and Harry Souttar are also unavailable, but in more positive news, James Justin looks set to return to the starting line-up after being named on the bench in a 3-2 win over Millwall last time out.

Match Odds

Leicester are the favourites heading into this clash at 4/7 to claim the three points on their trip across the Midlands.

Birmingham are 5/1 to secure what would be their eighth win in the Championship this season, while a draw on the night is available at 3/1.

Four of Birmingham's last six Championship home games have ended with both sides scoring and both teams to find the back of the net on Monday is currently 4/5.

Leicester to win and both teams to score @ 9/4

Leicester have responded well after back-to-back defeats to Leeds United and Middlesbrough in November to go on a five-game unbeaten run that includes four wins.

In contrast, Rooney’s Birmingham were on a three-game winless run before beating the Bluebirds last time out.

Leicester have conceded in all of their last seven away games in all competitions and it would be little surprise to see the hosts get on the scoresheet at St Andrew’s.

However, high-flying Leicester have the form and the quality to make it four wins on the bounce against Birmingham in all competitions on Monday night.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to score anytime @ 12/5

With six Championship goals to his name already this season, no Leicester player has scored more league goals this term than midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Vardy has also scored six, but the forward is unavailable this week and the goals will need to come from elsewhere.

Dewsbury-Hall scored in Leicester’s last game on the road at The Hawthorns against West Brom and looks capable of bagging another goal in the West Midlands in this one.
