PSG prepare to face Borussia Dortmund in the French capital on Tuesday evening looking to overturn a one-goal deficit from the Champions League semi-final first leg.

The French league leaders have failed to score in just one of their last 14 European home games and Kylian Mbappe and co will need to find the net again to keep their chances of winning the competition alive. Below you can find our Football Bet of the Day for Tuesday, April 7.

PSG are still looking for their first Champions League trophy, but they are seeking a second final appearance in five years.

Luis Enrique’s men endured a rollercoaster in the quarter-final, coming back from 3-2 down in the first leg at the Parc de Princes to eventually beat Barcelona 7-3 on aggregate.

A 1-0 defeat at the Westfalonstadion has left them with another deficit to overturn, but this time they will be looking to bounce back in front of their own fans.

Goals have not been an issue for PSG in recent games, scoring nine times in their last three home matches in all competitions. At the other end of the pitch, they have been leaky though, with no clean sheets in any of their last seven games.

Meanwhile, Dortmund head to Paris having lost just one of their last six matches and they go into Tuesday’s tie off the back of a 5-1 victory over Freiburg on Saturday.

Edin Terzic’s squad have scored in each of their last seven fixtures and have a real goal threat. Niclas Fullkrug scored the winner in the first leg and the German international has three goals in Dortmund’s last five matches.

The Bundesliga side have scored in nine straight Champions League games this season, but their record at PSG doesn’t make good reading for Dortmund fans.

The German outfit have lost on their last two visits to the Parc des Princes, losing 2-0 in 2023 and by the same scoreline in 2020.

Mbappe scored in the 2023 meeting and the French superstar has eight goals in this season’s competition heading into Tuesday’s clash.

Five of those eight goals have been the first of the match and Mbappe can be backed at 2/1 to score the first goal of the semi-final second leg.

It’s also worth noting that both teams have scored in six of PSG’s last seven games and in all of their last four home matches. The Ligue 1 outfit have had more time to prepare for the second leg, having had no domestic match at the weekend.

The home side could have Lucas Hernandez in their starting line-up, despite leaving the pitch with injury before half-time in the first leg.

Dortmund could be without former West Ham striker Sebastien Haller, but Karim Adeyemi looks set to be involved having made a substitute appearance in the win over Freiburg.
