Manchester City take on Brentford in the Premier League on Tuesday night (19:30) at the Etihad Stadium.

After being held to a draw at home against Chelsea on Saturday, the Cityzens will be desperate to get back to winning ways as they look to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool.

It was only two weeks ago when Pep Guardiola's side came from a goal down at Brentford to beat the Bees 3-1, thanks to a sublime hat-trick from Phil Foden.

Thomas Frank's men gave City some problems in west London, and did in fact do the double over them last season. Knowing that they can be tricky opponents, we could be in for an interesting battle in Manchester.

As such, our bet of the day comes from this top-flight clash.

Football Bet of the Day - Tuesday 20 February

  • #PickYourPunt - Erling Haaland and Ivan Toney both to score anytime @ 4/1

There was a fair amount of frustration from Man City supporters on Saturday as a valuable two points in the title race were dropped. It wasn't as if they didn't have the chances to win the game as the division's top scorer, Erling Haaland, had plenty of opportunities to get on the scoresheet.

The Norwegian could've easily grabbed a couple and did squander some excellent chances, proving he is only human after all.

However, he will be more disappointed than everyone that he didn't score and help his side get the victory over the weekend. The 23-year-old will be on a mission against Brentford to put the Chelsea blank behind them and get back to his free-scoring self.

In the reverse fixture at the Gtech Community Stadium, Foden stole the headlines with his incredible hat-trick and rightly so, but Haaland didn't quite get the service that he would usually get to have an impact on the game. He did set up one of the goals but he will want more than that in midweek. And we're confident he will be back with a bang.

He is not the only player we fancy to get on the scoresheet in this one. Ivan Toney has been in great form since returning from his eight-month suspension. The 27-year-old has scored four goals in five league appearances so far, blanking in just one of them.

City will be well aware of his threat, not just because he played a key role in Neal Maupay's opener a fortnight ago, but also due to the fact he netted a brace in their meeting at the Etihad last term.

Toney being back for the Bees has made a real difference to their play and his form is instilling confidence in his team mates as well as him. City have shown that they can be vulnerable defensively, as shown from Brentford's goal against them the other week coming from a goal kick.

If they have any lapses in concentration on Tuesday, Toney will be there to punish them, just as he has done against Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers already this season.
