Chelsea host rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Thursday evening (Sky Sports Main Event/Premier League, 19:30), looking to do the double over Ange Postecoglou's side. When these two sides met in November, Chelsea ended up as 4-1 winners as Spurs finished the game with nine men.

I'm expecting another cracker between these two sides this week and as such I have picked out three selections for a 9/1 bet builder that I fancy to deliver in SW6.

Football Bet of the Day: Thursday, May 2

  • #PickYourPunt - Cole Palmer & Son Heung-min to score anytime, Moises Caicedo to be carded @ 9/1

When trying to find value from this match, you are drawn to the goalscorers market because both these sides are blessed with stars who have been scoring on a regular basis. The obvious candidate is Chelsea's Cole Palmer because he has netted 20 goals in the Premier League so far and only Manchester City's Erling Haaland (21) has bagged more.

The Manchester City academy graduate has been enjoying an incredible first season with the Blues on a personal level, in what has been his first campaign with consistent starts and regular minutes. For his contributions thus far, it is hard to point to another player to be named as the signing of the season in the top-flight.

Palmer has been averaging 103 minutes per goal this year and he has 10 goals in his last six league appearances. He is in outstanding form and Spurs will be well aware of the the threat he poses. I think the young Englishman still has plenty of goals to offer in the final weeks of the season and as such fancy him to score against Tottenham for the second time this campaign.

Another player I'm expecting to get on the scoresheet here is Spurs attacker Son Heung-min. The Tottenham captain has also been a regular source of goals for his side in the league this term, having netted his 16th against Arsenal at the weekend from the penalty spot.

Surprisingly, when digging into his record against the Blues, the South Korean international has only mustered two goals in 18 appearances across all competitions. Although he doesn't boast the most appealing of records against Chelsea, I still think he can net his third goal against them on Thursday.

Chelsea have blown hot and cold all season and they have been easy to score against, having shipped 59 goals in 33 matches. Their defence has constantly gone through alterations due to injuries and performances, so Son will be sensing an opportunity to score at Stamford Bridge. Given his goalscoring record in the Premier League overall during his career, he has certainly got the quality to score against this particular Chelsea side.

Finally, the last leg of this bet builder sees me tip the Blues' Moises Caicedo to be carded. The record £115m midfielder has not had the most impressive of debut seasons at Chelsea but there have been some signs of life from his recent performances which could see him come good after a full pre-season under boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Colombian is a smart pick to go into the book because he has already been shown 10 yellow cards this term and he has been penalised for 45 fouls across the campaign. His latest came against Aston Villa at the weekend as he got himself involved in a scuffle with Brazilian Douglas Luiz.

If he can get wound up in a game against a non-rival, imagine what he will be like against Spurs in midweek, who will try and exploit his reckless behaviour on the field.

#PickYourPunt at 9/1
