Newcastle have made a solid start to the season, taking seven points from their opening three games as well as progressing to the next round of the EFL Cup after beating Nottingham Forest on penalties. They next face Wolves on the road in their first game after the international break and will be hoping to carry on their good work.

Wolves will be desperate for a strong performance at home after losing 6-2 to Chelsea in their last game at Molineux. Gary O'Neil's men drew with Nottingham Forest last time out and are still chasing their first win of the season.

Football Odds

Wolves had a poor end to last season and have carried their struggles over into the new campaign. They have now lost 10 of their last 15 league games, which includes a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle in March.

Gary O'Neil's men were beaten 6-2 by Chelsea in their last home Premier League game, meaning they have now lost five of their last six in their own backyard.

They face a tough challenge against a Newcastle side that have managed to grind out results without playing particularly well this term.

Eddie Howe's men overcame Southampton 1-0 in their opening game, despite playing the majority of the match with ten men, and followed that with a 1-1 draw away at Bournemouth.

The Magpies again were on the back foot for the majority of their game against Tottenham last time out but still managed to emerge with a 2-1 win.

The away team will be boosted by the return of Fabian Schar from suspension and may hand Sandro Tonali his first start of the campaign after he came off the bench against Tottenham last time out.

Newcastle have the stronger side on paper and with Wolves' struggles at home, it's hard not to fancy the visitors to add to their tally of two league wins for the season.

Side with Eddie Howe's men to secure three points on Sunday.
