Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Sheffield United to the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon (14:00), with the Seagulls looking to end a five-game run in the top-flight without a win.

They welcome a Blades squad rooted at the bottom of the table and with only four points to their name so far. This will give Roberto De Zerbi's side an excellent opportunity to get back to winning ways in the league and there is one man who we think can help them do so.

Football Bet of the Day - Sunday 12 November

  • Evan Ferguson to score anytime @ 9/10

Evan Ferguson, one of Brighton's current crop of impressive young talents, has had enjoyed his week on the south coast so far. On Friday it was announced that he had been rewarded with a new contract at the club which would extend his stay at the Amex until 2029.

Not only is this deal protecting Brighton's interests in a potential future sale for the Irish striker, they have rewarded Ferguson for his contributions and it has been reported that he will see a welcome increase in his salary.

Now before Ferguson heads off on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, he will look to repay the faith shown in him from the leaders at Brighton when he comes up against Sheffield United on Sunday.

The 19-year-old already has five Premier League goals to his name this term but he will be eager to add to his tally before the international break against the Blades. The Seagulls have expressed just how important the player is to their project and although his abilities still need fine-tuning, he has the quality to register a lot of goals in the top-flight.

He and his teammates will head into the weekend with confidence after an impressive away victory against Ajax in the Europa League. They will seek to channel that performance and translate it against the Blades so that they can get another three points on the board domestically before the two-week hiatus.

Ferguson's five goals have come in just three matches in the league so far while he has featured in all 11 fixtures that have been played. The Irishman will be eager to find some consistency in his play so that he can develop into one of the divisions most prolific forwards sooner rather than later.

And against a shaky Sheffield United defence this weekend, we fancy him to grab goal number six.
