We fancy something a little different for Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day.

We’ve taken a look at the odds to come up with this selection from Aston Villa vs Manchester United, which kicks off at 16:30 on Sunday afternoon.

Football Bet of the Day - Sunday 11 February

  • Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Ollie Watkins all to score @ 16/1

It may look like I’ve gone slightly off the rails here. And maybe I have. But let me try to explain.

These three players are in simply incredible form right now, and I feel an open game is going to break out at Villa Park. Manchester United scored three against West Ham United last time out with both Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho getting on the scoresheet, and both defences are unlikely to be at their peak here.

Ezri Konsa is missing for Aston Villa, and the duo of Clement Lenglet and Diego Carlos were torn apart by Chelsea in midweek. The out of form Blues won 3-1 at Villa Park in their FA Cup replay, as the visitors racked up eight shots on target against a full-strength Villa side. This leads me to believe that Manchester United can go to Villa Park and score a few goals, potentially even notching a big win.

If they are to score a few, their young duo of Hojlund and Garnacho are likely to find the net. The Argentinian showed his clinical nature with a brace against West Ham, while he also scored twice in the 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford. The other United goalscorer on Boxing Day? You guessed it, Rasmus Hojlund.

The Danish forward has scored in each of his last three Premier League matches, as well as notching in the FA Cup win at Newport County. It seems he’s really got to grips with English football and now is having a major impact at the club. He’s likely to cause Aston Villa all sorts of problems and I’m happy to back both youngsters to find the net here.

The other, and perhaps more obvious selection is Ollie Watkins for the home side. Now, Manchester United have confirmed Lisandro Martinez is likely to miss the next month at the very least, so Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane could start as the centre-back partnership. Watkins, who has scored in his last two Premier League games, will fancy his chances against a weakened United defence.

He’s been simply phenomenal this season, notching 11 goals in 23 league matches, and is Unai Emery’s key man. If Villa are able to get at United, which I think they will, then Watkins is likely to be presented with at least two clear goalscoring opportunities. I believe we are in for a thriller on Sunday afternoon, and that the English striker can also find the net.

Our Football Bet of the Day of Sunday 11 February is Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Ollie Watkins all to score @ 16/1.
