While most sides in Serie A entered the weekend with two games left to play, Fiorentina’s cup runs means the Violets still have four games remaining in the season.

The first of which sees them host mid-table Monza at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Vincenzo Italiano’s side have reached a second successive Europa Conference League final and also made it to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia - falling at the hands of Atalanta - and so have plenty of football to fit in yet.

Monza have struggled for three points in recent weeks and could see their dwindling hopes of continental football next season ended on Monday night, with Fiorentina eyeing up Europa League qualification on two separate fronts. Below you can find my Football Bet of the Day.

Football Bet of the Day - Monday, May 13

Fiorentina to win and BTTS @ 21/10

With just one point separating them from eighth-placed Napoli and with two games in hand over the fallen champions, Fiorentina know that continental football is more than achievable for next season.

And although the Violets have won just three of their last six in all competitions - losing two - the hosts should be able to take another big step towards a top-eight finish with victory.

Goals have not been hard to come by for Fiorentina in recent weeks, with 13 goals scored across their last six games in all competitions - averaging just over two goals a game - and this includes the Florence-based side putting five past relegation-threatened Sassuolo in their last home fixture.

I Viola have thoroughly enjoyed playing in front of their own fans this season and Italiano’s men have lost just two of their last 19 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi across league, cup and continental fixtures - with these two defeats coming against the top two in runaway champions Inter Milan and AC Milan.

Monza, meanwhile, could still qualify for a first ever European campaign - although they are six points behind Napoli with three games to play - but their recent form does not point to a miracle occurring any time soon.

The Biancorossi have failed to win any of their last six in Serie A - losing three - while Raffaele Palladino’s men have also failed to win any of their last three on the road.

This will be just the third time that Monza have made the trip to Fiorentina in their history and the visitors are yet to win here.

However, both of their previous visits have seen goals at either end and so Monza could cause issues for the Fiorentina backline.
