After a scare on Saturday, Barcelona are back in action in La Liga on Tuesday night, with Mallorca the latest visitors to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

Hansi Flick's side trailed 3-1 at one point at the weekend, with Borja Iglesias firing in a hat-trick to give Celta Vigo a shock lead against a Barça side that was nowhere near their best. Flick's decision to rest Lamine Yamal looked set to backfire, but the league leaders dug deep and fought back to win 4-3, largely thanks to Raphinha.

The Brazilian set up Dani Olmo on 65 minutes to reduce the deficit to one, before scoring himself three minutes later. It took another half hour for the Catalans to find a winner, scored by Raphinha from the penalty spot eight minutes into stoppage time.

The 28-year-old's Ballon d'Or credentials grow with each passing week. A player that Barcelona considered replacing last summer is now on 30 goals for the season in all competitions, and with 23 assists also to his name, the ex-Leeds man is now the favourite to win the big prize ahead of several of his teammates, as well as the likes of Mohamed Salah and Ousmane Dembélé.

From a collective perspective, there have been a few areas of slight concern for Barça fans in recent weeks though. Their level has dropped slightly, with only one of their last six games in all competitions producing victories by more than a single goal.

They are still mostly getting the job done and remain very well placed to compete for silverware in three different competitions. There is depth to the squad in most areas which is enabling Flick to rotate his team, a necessity given the volume of games, but their problems without Pedri in Dortmund last week, and without Yamal initially at the weekend, suggest there are two or three key players that they simply cannot afford to do without.

Mallorca will no doubt be hoping that the Barça boss opts to rest some of his stars here, given the Catalan giants are in Copa del Rey final action against Real Madrid this coming Saturday. However, the visitors have some selection issues of their own which reduce the chances of an upset.

Under the guidance of ex-Osasuna boss Jagoba Arrasate, Mallorca are having a really solid campaign. They've never looked in any kind of relegation trouble and have already comfortably surpassed last season's tally of 40 points which was only good enough for a 15th place finish.

With six games to play, they are in seventh this time around, a position that looks set to be good enough for Europa League qualification. There are four teams just below Mallorca that could potentially climb above them this matchday though, so it's shaping up to be a really tight race for the final European places.

Mallorca's overall record in 2025 is actually pretty unimpressive. They've only won three out of 15 matches in all competitions in a calendar year that started with five straight defeats to nil.

However, they have clearly come through the other side of their rough patch, with a 2-0 victory at Real Sociedad in their most recent away game one of their most impressive results of the campaign. They kept another clean sheet in La Liga on Saturday, but couldn't find a breakthrough in a home fixture against struggling Leganés which ended goalless.

Team News:

Barcelona have been dealt a big injury blow, with top scorer Robert Lewandowski dealing with a hamstring issue which will rule him out of this game, and potentially several others. The Polish striker would most likely have been rested here in any case, with Ferrán Torres expected to lead the line for the hosts.

Lamine Yamal looks certain to rotate back in on the right flank, but Flick may opt to rest one or two of his other regulars with an eye on some very big games over the coming fortnight.

Alejandro Balde, Marc Casadó and Marc Bernal remain sidelined with injuries. Marc-André ter Stegen is nearing fitness though after a lengthy lay-off, and could potentially return in goal before the end of the season.

As for Mallorca, they are missing regulars Dani Rodríguez and Pablo Maffeo due to suspension after both players picked up their fifth La Liga bookings of the campaign against Leganés.

They are also missing the injured quartet of Vedat Muriqi, Manu Morlanes, Takuma Asano and Robert Navarro. The absence of their top scorer Muriqi is likely to mean Cyle Larin continues up front, although Abdon Prats is an alternative option.

Barcelona vs Real Mallorca Odds

Barcelona head into the game as the 2/9 favourites to claim victory and once again extend their lead on Real Madrid to seven points for at least 24 hours. You can back the Draw at 11/2, while Mallorca are available at 11/1 to seal a surprise win.

The reverse fixture earlier in the campaign ended in a 5-1 victory for the league leaders, and you can back Barcelona to win and Both teams to score at 13/8 on Tuesday night. The hosts are priced at 5/6 to score over 2.5 goals in the game, while you can back Barcelona/Barcelona at 4/6 in the Half time/Full time market.

Alternatively, Draw or Mallorca is on offer at 3/1 in the Double Chance market. The visitors are priced at 4/5 to score over 0.5 goals, while they are on offer at 14/1 to score over 2.5 goals against a Barça side that has let in three in each of their last two matches.

If you're expecting Raphinha to continue his hot streak, the Brazilian is priced at 11/10 to score anytime, while you can back Raphinha 1+ assists at 6/4.

Ferrán is on offer at 10/11 to score anytime, while you can back Yamal to get on the scoresheet at 7/4. From a visiting perspective, Larin could be the main goal threat, with the Canadian available at 3/1 to score anytime.

Bet 1 - Barcelona to win & under 3.5 goals @ 6/5

This game is likely to be quite different to the match that Barcelona played on Saturday. Mallorca are not prone to taking as many risks as Celta Vigo, and with key attacking players Muriqi and Dani Rodríguez sidelined, their threat will be considerably diminished in any case.

Therefore, we may see the visitors effectively set up with a back five and look to frustrate their hosts for as long as possible.

While Barça are on course to break a number of goalscoring records this term, there have been several matches when they've been forced to be patient and their most common home scoreline in La Liga is actually 1-0 in their favour. That was the outcome when Getafe, Rayo Vallecano and Alavés visited, while they also won 1-0 at Leganés the weekend before last.

With no Lewandowski, and Flick unlikely to want to use Raphinha and Pedri for the full 90 minutes again as was the case against Celta, this may be tighter than many are expecting, and I'm backing Barcelona to win and under 3.5 goals at 6/5.

Bet 2 - Lamine Yamal 4+ shots & Barcelona most corners @ 1/1

Given he dropped to bench on Saturday, there seems little doubt that Lamine Yamal will start this game and he may very well clock up the full 90 minutes too, with other players more likely candidates to be withdrawn.

That should give the teenager plenty of time to have an impact on this match, and he may get more of the ball than usual if Flick does opt to leave a few of his other stars out.

The Spain winger had four or more attempts in six successive matches for club and country, before a slight dip in his numbers over the last three games where his game-time has reduced.

Given that and Barcelona's average of 8.00 corners per home game in La Liga, and only 3.00 against, I'm using the Bet Builder to back Lamine Yamal 4+ shots & Barcelona most corners at 1/1.
