Arsenal felt hard done by when they lost 1-0 at Newcastle last week, but Mikel Arteta’s side recovered to beat Sevilla 2-0 in the Champions League and will be confident of building on that when Burnley head to the Emirates on Saturday.

The Clarets are enduring a miserable time after storming to the Championship title last year and look up against it as they go in search of their second victory of the season.

Arsenal vs Burnley Prediction

  • Arsenal to win to nil @ 5/6
  • #PickYourPunt - Over 7.5 Arsenal corners, Josh Cullen to be booked, Gabriel Martinelli to have one or more shots on target @ 6/1

Team news

Arsenal are hoping Martin Odegaard, Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka will all be fit enough to take their place against the Clarets. Takehino Tomiyasu could feature but Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Emile Smith Rowe are all out.

Burnley welcome back midfielder Josh Cullen, who is available after being banned for the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, but Lyle Foster, Ameen Al-Dakhil, Michael Obafemi and Aaron Ramsey are missing.

Match Odds

Arsenal are hot favourites to take three points from Saturday’s game and can be backed at 2/11 while Burnley are 14/1 to cause a surprise and post their second away win of the campaign. The draw is available at 6/1.

Goals are expected with over 2.5 chalked up at 4/9 while 11/10 can be taken for both teams to score.

Nketiah is an injury concern for the Gunners but he is 18/5 favourite to score the game’s first goal and 25/1 to score a hat-trick as he did in his last home league match against Sheffield United.

Arsenal to win to nil @ 5/6

Big things were expected of Burnley after they cruised to glory in the Championship last season, but Vincent Kompany’s team have found the step up to the Premier League to be a massive leap.

A win at Luton and a draw at Nottingham Forest are all they have to show from 11 matches and the fact they have scored just eight times is a worrying statistic.

Arsenal were left fuming at decisions that did not go their way at Newcastle last week, but a 2-0 Champions League win over Sevilla got them back in the swing of things.

It is difficult to see the Clarets providing much of a threat and with the Gunners having kept four home clean sheets in their last five matches, another home win and a clean sheet looks the way to go.

#PickYourPunt - Over 7.5 Arsenal corners, Josh Cullen to be booked, Gabriel Martinelli to have one or more shots on target @ 6/1

There are three bets that can be pooled into a #PickYourPunt selection, the first being more than 7.5 Arsenal corners.

No Premier League team have had more flag-kicks than the Gunners and they average 8.45 a game, so it is realistic to expect they will have plenty in a game they are expected to dominate.

Clarets midfielder Cullen is back after serving a one-match ban for five bookings and he could be cautioned again. The Ireland international can expect to be doing plenty of chasing in the middle of the park.

And with Arsenal having injury concerns up front, it wouldn't be a surprise if Gabriel Martinelli was handed a more prominent role. The Brazilian has had seven shots on target this season and could have another on Saturday.
