Team news

Armenia boss Yegishe Melikyan is dealing with no fresh injury concerns after his side’s 5-0 defeat at the hands of Portugal last time out.

Given the nature of that result, Melikyan might well tinker with a few positions but expect forward Tigran Barseghyan to be leading the line once again.

Armenia vs Iceland Stats

  • Armenia have lost their last four home games
  • Adam Idah has scored six international goals

As for Ireland, they too have no fresh injury concerns after their 2-2 draw against Hungary on Saturday.

Adam Idah came off the bench to score the equaliser for the Irish and the former Celtic and now Swansea striker is pushing for a starting role on Tuesday.

Armenia vs Ireland Odds

Armenia are underdogs at 7/2 to win on Tuesday, while Ireland are 8/11 to head back to Dublin with the three points.

A draw is currently 23/10, while the Republic of Ireland to be leading at both the half-time and full-time whistle is available at 7/4.

Republic of Ireland to win to nil @ 7/4

Losing all of their last four home games in all competitions, Armenia are struggling to give their supporters much to cheer about these days.

What has really hurt Armenia is the fact they have not scored in their last four home games, with their last goal at home coming back on September 7th, 2024.

Just over a year on from their last goal at home, Armenia’s wait might have to continue a little longer, as Ireland look capable of winning to nil against this toothless attack for the men in red.

Adam Idah anytime goalscorer @ 15/8

Coming off the bench to bag the leveller against Hungary last weekend, new Swansea striker Idah catches the eye in the anytime goalscorer market.

Now with six international goals to his name for Ireland, the Cork-born forward is well priced to add to his tally on Tuesday.

Having joined Swansea City on a five-year deal from Celtic on September 1, Idah is set for a new chapter in his club career and his goal against Hungary will have done his confidence no harm whatsoever.

Pushing for a starting role in Yerevan on Tuesday night, the 24-year-old is backed to find the back of the net against an Armenian defence that is not without its problems.
