Anytime Goalscorer Tips: Mo goals for Salah

Domestic football is back this weekend (thankfully), and so there is a feast of action coming our way from across Europe. It's only right to mark the return with an anytime goalscorer accumulator, right?
I have hand-picked four players from across the Football League, and combined, they are valued up to an eye-catching 35/1. Below you will find my anytime goalscorer tips for Saturday, September 14.
Anytime Goalscorer Tips - Saturday, September 14
- Mohamed Salah - Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest @ 5/6
- Jhon Duran - Aston Villa vs Everton @ 6/4
- Elijah Adebayo - Millwall vs Luton Town @ 2/1
- Louie Barry - Crawley Town vs Stockport County @ 13/8
Mohamed Salah - Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest @ 5/6
What a start to the season this man has had. Liverpool's Egyptian king, Mohamed Salah, continues to show that he is the poster boy of Anfield. He may be 32 years of age, but he is looking as sharp as ever. Salah remains one of the very best players in the Premier League and across the world.
He has three goals and three assists to his name in the top-flight so far, and only Manchester City's goalscoring sensation Erling Haaland has more (seven). Salah will be full of confidence ahead of his Anfield return this weekend as the Reds take on Nottingham Forest, who have started well with five points from their opening three matches.
This will be the Tricky Trees' toughest test to date and their defenders are going to be in for a long afternoon when they try and nullify Salah's threat. The attacker boasts two goals in three league appearances against Forest, so he has a habit of terrorising them. And I believe he can do so once again on Saturday as I back him to get on the scoresheet.
Jhon Duran - Aston Villa vs Everton @ 6/4
Jhon Duran could be in line for a promotion to the starting lineup for Aston Villa this weekend against Everton due to doubts over Ollie Watkins' fitness. Watkins pulled out of England duty with a problem so the door might open for Duran against the troubled Toffees.
The Colombian already has two goals this season and one came against West Ham United, a club he was linked with over the summer. The striker was reportedly interesting around 40 clubs in the transfer window but Unai Emery kept hold of him, believing there is a player he can unlock.
He has more goals than last year's top scorer Watkins, and a fine performance up top if he does get the nod to start would certainly give Emery a headache moving forward. Duran will certainly make himself a nuisance to Everton's back line whether he starts or comes on from the bench.
The Toffees have already seen 10 goals go past them in the league, and I think Duran can add another one to the list at Villa Park.
Elijah Adebayo - Millwall vs Luton Town @ 2/1
A key player for Luton Town in the Premier League but Elijah Adebayo is yet to get up and running in the Championship in 2024/25. The same goes for his strike partner Carlton Morris. The two players scored a combined 21 goals in the top-flight last term, so it feels like it is only a matter of time for them to start reaping rewards in the second tier.
This isn't the first time I've tipped the big man to score this campaign, and I continue to put my faith in him. Luton will be hoping that the international break came at a good time for them because they didn't start in the way they would have liked.
Up next for them is Millwall, who have had a slow start themselves. Neil Harris' side, like the Hatters, have seen seven goals go past them in four matches, so this contest will have two weak defences on display.
The difference here being that Luton have two forwards that have rich Premier League experience under their belts, who just need a goal to unlock some form. So I am backing Adebayo to open his account this weekend.
Louie Barry - Crawley Town vs Stockport County @ 13/8
Having just been crowned as League 1 Player of the Month for August, Stockport County forward Louie Barry will want to follow it up with another goal on Saturday. The flying Hatters head to Crawley Town, who have had a decent start following promotion from League 2.
Stockport are unbeaten and sit second in the table, and Barry has been key in their bursting start. The Aston Villa loanee has netted three times in the first four matches, and with his quality there will be more goals up for grabs over the coming weeks.
Crawley will already know about the threat he possesses, having watched him score against them last year in a pulsating 3-3 draw. I think Barry can haunt them for a second time in a division above.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
