Newcastle United have a superstar on their hands in Alexander Isak and the Premier League club are trying everything within their power to keep hold of him. Qualifying for the Uefa Champions League is a step in the right direction, while it is also being reported that the Magpies are planning on breaking their wage structure to offer him a new deal.

Whether it comes off remains to be seen, but there are plenty of clubs sniffing around who would love to add the Swedish striker to their ranks. Below I take a look at some of the potential destinations for the forward, should he move on this summer, using Betfred's Alexander Isak Transfer Odds.

Alexander Isak Transfer Odds

Liverpool @ 3/1

After winning the Premier League in 2024/25, it seems as though Liverpool are going for it in the transfer window in a bid to assert their dominance on English football. With talks of their underwhelming striker Darwin Nunez set for a back door exit this summer (looking likely to be Napoli according to reports), Arne Slot's side will be in need of some added firepower to lead the line.

And when looking for a proven goalscorer in the Premier League, who else but Isak? The Newcastle front man bagged 23 goals in 34 league appearances last season but it is his all-round play that makes him a suitable candidate for Liverpool - very much like a bombshell on Love Island.

Football Odds

The Reds have already bolstered their squad with the £115m record signing of Florian Wirtz, but they will likely have to surpass that figure to land Isak from their rivals. Newcastle have no need to sell right now as the Sweden international has another three years left on his contract, but a spanner could be thrown in the works at some point down the line if he isn't favouring an extension, or if Liverpool's interest turns his head.

Arsenal @ 14/1

How many years have we been telling Arsenal they need a striker? Too many, and it has had a detrimental effect on their ambitions to win the Premier League. Mikel Arteta is shopping for a forward this summer but it currently looks like any potential deal for Isak will be too expensive for them, hence why they are looking in Europe.

The two strikers they are chasing as per reports are RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres. Isak may be perfect for the Gunners given his record in the division but trying to sign him from a direct rival will result in an added tax to the transfer fee, which is probably why Arsenal haven't even tried and have gone elsewhere.

Bayern Munich @ 14/1

Bayern Munich are blessed with an array of attacking talent, which may be appealing to a player of Isak's quality, while Die Roten would have the financial backing to strike a deal that may appease Newcastle.

However, the Bundesliga champions have Harry Kane leading the line for them right now and he is continuing to show that he is still one of the best centre-forwards in the world. I'm not sure Isak would like that much competition as he may look to go to a club where he will unquestionably be the main man.

Barcelona @ 20/1

Hansi Flick has just led Barcelona to a domestic treble as the historic club aims to go back to being a force on the European stage. They made it to the Uefa Champions League semi-finals but were beaten in dramatic fashion in extra time following one of the most exciting two-legged ties in the history of the sport.

Barca have veteran Robert Lewandowski in their ranks to play up front, while Ferran Torres has sometimes been deployed there. Isak is the kind of profile that may help take the Spanish giants to another level, and he has experience of playing in La Liga already with Real Sociedad.

Barcelona, despite recent financial troubles, still appear to be a club who may be able to broker such a deal, while their name carries much weight in the footballing world. If they came knocking, Isak would certainly hear what they had to say.

Real Madrid @ 25/1

Real Madrid are another team you'd find it hard to ignore if they came calling but right now it's hard to envisage Isak there with Kylian Mbappe the current face of Los Blancos.

Yes, the Frenchman can play out wide to accommodate a potential move for Isak, but the truth is Mbappe has had a remarkable campaign through the middle, scoring 43 goals in 53 matches across all competitions - so Isak would face a tough battle to play on a regular basis.

PSG @ 33/1

Now, this one interests me given the price. Paris Saint-Germain are arguably becoming one of the most attractive clubs in Europe because of their success this season, a treble including their first-ever Champions League title, and the way they play.

Luis Enrique has Les Parisiens playing some of the most exciting football we've seen in years and his squad is filled with talent. They boast conceivably the best full-backs in the world in Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes, a world-class shot-stopper in Gianluigi Donnarumma, while the front three of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue is the most eye-catching in the world right now.

Isak's technical quality, along with his goalscoring instincts, would thrive in this team, and money would be no issue for the French club when structuring a deal. Unlike a few years ago, if PSG are asking about the hottest talent in Europe, players will likely make time to hear the pitch.
