We are deep into the summer and that means that the transfer window is open, so there are several high-profile players likely to move on from their respective clubs ahead of the new season.

One player of note set for a move this window is Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United. The Argentine and boss Ruben Amorim don't see eye-to-eye and the Portuguese coach reportedly told him to find a new club. Below I take a look at some of the options that might be on offer to the attacking star, using Betfred's Alejandro Garnacho transfer odds.

Alejandro Garnacho Transfer Odds

  • Chelsea @ 4/7
  • Atletico Madrid @ 4/1
  • Napoli @ 5/1
  • Aston Villa @ 7/1
  • Bayer Leverkusen @ 10/1
  • Bar @ 16/1

Chelsea @ 4/7

It seems we can't have any transfer speculation for a winger anymore without Chelsea being towards the front of the queue. The London club continue to frustrate their rivals as they are seemingly still able to throw money around despite various concerns regarding Profitability & Sustainability regulations being raised.

The Blues have already been splashing the cash this summer with the most notable signing being striker Liam Delap from Ipswich for a reported £30m, and this is set to be trumped by a £50m deal for Joao Pedro of Brighton & Hove Albion and a £55.5m package for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.

Garnacho would likely cost them a pretty penny too because Man United will want to gain as much money as possible for their academy graduate, even though he has been deemed surplus to requirements.

Football Odds

Chelsea have reportedly had long-standing interest in the wide man's services and he himself is believed to be open to staying in the Premier League. If a deal can be struck by the two teams, then this one could move at pace, but given how much United are set to ask for Garnacho, this is a move that could drag on for a while.

Garnacho also needs to consider that there will be a lot of wingers for him to compete with for places at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Gittens, Tyrique George, Cole Palmer and Estevao.

Atletico Madrid @ 4/1

With Spanish roots, Garnacho may be tempted with a move to La Liga and Atletico Madrid are the current second favourites to land his signature. This is understandable as this would be a homecoming of sorts for the 20-year-old, who spent five years in Atleti's academy between 2015-2020 before moving to United.

He is sure to have some connections still at the club and given he was born in Madrid, the emotional ties may play a huge role in his decision-making process. The only snag is that Amorim was critical of his defensive work and he wouldn't get away with that in Diego Simeone's side, who are renowned for their work out of possession.

Napoli @ 5/1

Serie A champions Napoli are next up but this is a move that may not be in Garnacho's best interest. He is trying to get away from a club who deploy a defensive three system that have no use for wingers in the traditional sense, and that is the same at Napoli in Antonio Conte's 3-5-2 shape.

There have been murmurs that Conte could depart Naples over the summer, something which he is accustomed to once winning silverware at clubs, but right now this doesn't appear to be a good fit for Garnacho.

Alejandro Garnacho Transfer Odds

Aston Villa @ 7/1

Another potential option for Garnacho to remain in the Premier League could be Aston Villa, with boss Unai Emery a fan of the Argentina international. The trouble for Villa at the moment is that it looks like they need to sell a few players to comply with PSR following their failure to qualify for next season's Uefa Champions League - and this in itself may be a hindering factor in a potential chase for Garnacho.

Emi Martinez currently looks like the most likely Villan to be cashed in on to raise funds, so right now it is hard to see them splashing the cash on a highly-rated young talent from a Premier League rival who will demand as much money as they can.

Bayer Leverkusen @ 10/1

If Garnacho were open to a move to Germany, Bayer Leverkusen could be a potential destination. Money won't be an issue for them following the £115m sale of Florian Wirtz to Liverpool earlier this month.

Garnacho also knows a familiar face at the club in manager Erik ten Hag, who was a big fan of the player during his time with United. As a coach he got the best out of Garnacho and that continued relationship might be what Garnacho needs to help take his name to the next level in the coming years.

At 20, Garnacho still has plenty of time to develop but being supported by a coach who put faith in him from a young age may be the best thing for him right now.
