Al Nassr vs Al Ahli Prediction: Ronaldo and Toney on target in another goal-fest

Saudi Professional League leaders Al Nassr take on title rivals and reigning champions Al Ahli on Wednesday (19:00 BST) at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh. The visitors are currently eight points behind Cristiano Ronaldo & Co., but they boast a game in hand, so all hope is not lost yet, and the Global Club still have to face second-placed Al Hilal before the season ends.
Below are my Al Nassr vs Al Ahli predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Al Nassr's build up to Wednesday's game has been hit hit by a flu outbreak, according to reports.
Several first-team players, including stars like Sadio Mane, Kingsley Coman, Mohamed Simakan and Marcelo Brozovic, have reportedly been affected.
Mane has apparently been the most impacted, so it remains to be seen whether he is declared well enough to start or even come off the bench against Al Ahli.
Like Mane, Ronaldo missed last Saturday's training session, but that was attributed to fatigue and exhaustion rather than a major physical issue, so we can expect the Portuguese forward to take his place up top on Wednesday.
Mubarak Al Buainain (knee) and Reghed Najjar (unspecified) are sidelined for Jorge Jesus' side due to injury.
Al Ahli, meanwhile, are missing Ali Majrashi, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, but otherwise, Matthias Jaissle appears to have a fully fit squad available.
Changes to the German's starting XI could be considered, though, following last Saturday's extra-time victory over Japanese side Machida Zelvia in the AFC Champions League Final.
Firas Al Buraikan is pushing for a start after coming off the bench to score the only goal of the game in the 96th minute of that final in Jeddah, but given the importance of Wednesday's match, it's unlikely Al Ahli's biggest stars, such as Riyad Mahrez, Galeno and Ivan Toney, will be dropped down to the bench.
Al Nassr vs Al Ahli Predicted Lineups
- Al Nassr: Bento; Boushal, Simakan, Al Amri, Martinez; Coman, Brozovic, Al-Khaibari, Angelo; Joao Felix, Ronaldo
- Al Ahli: Mendy; Hamed, Ibanez, Demiral, Al Hawsawi; Kessie, Atangana; Mahrez, Millot, Galeno; Toney
Al Nassr, on a 19-game winning streak which includes their last 15 in the Saudi Pro League, are 5/6 favourites to extend their run to 20 on Wednesday, implying a 54.5% probability of success.
Al Ahli, who won January's reverse fixture in Jeddah thanks to a first-half brace from Toney and a second-half strike from Merih Demiral, are 5/2, or a 28.6% chance, to do the double over their opponents, with the draw, a winning selection in last season's corresponding game (2-2), priced at 11/4.
Al Nassr vs Al Ahli Stats
- Ronaldo (NSR) has scored 24 goals in 25 SPL apps this season
- Golden Boot leader Toney (AHL) has struck 27 times in as many games
- Toney scored twice in January's reverse fixture
- Both teams have scored two or more goals in the last three H2Hs
Bet Builder - Cristiano Ronaldo (NSR) & Ivan Toney (AHL) Anytime Goalscorers @ 11/4
Toney leads the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot charts with 27 goals, followed by Al Qadsiah's Julian Quinones (26) and Ronaldo (24), so both teams carry a huge threat up top on Wednesday.
Ronaldo has won the Golden Boot the last two seasons, with his 25 strikes in 2024/25 just enough to stop Toney (23) from claiming the honour in his first Saudi Pro League campaign.
Toney has scored in his last three league appearances, and 20 of his 27 goals in the competition this season have come this calendar year. Two of those were struck in January's 3-2 victory over Al Nassr, a game in which Ronaldo failed to score, with Abdulelah Al Amri bagging a brace instead.
However, the 41-year-old scored when the sides met in the Super Cup Final last August, when they played out a 2-2 draw before Al Ahli reigned supreme on penalties.
Both Toney and Ronaldo take penalties for their team, too, so they're always a good bet to back in the anytime goalscorer market.
Both Teams to Score 2 or More Goals Yes/No - Yes @ 3/1
This has been a winning bet in the last three head-to-heads, with a couple of 3-2 scorelines sandwiched either side of that 2-2 draw in the Super Cup.
Al Nassr won 3-2 at Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League last season, with Jaissle's side righting those wrongs with a 3-2 victory over their own in Jeddah a few months ago.
Wednesday's hosts top the league scoring charts this season with 79 goals, and Jesus' men have found the back of the net at least twice in 23 of their 29 games.
Al Ahli have only scored 55 league goals, striking 2+ times on 12 occasions, but with the AFC Champions League title in the bag, they can now focus fully on domestic matters.
Given the wealth of attacking talent on display, I'm expecting another goal-fest between the two sides here.
