England to beat Argentina (8pm BST) @ 13/8
England weren’t entirely convincing in their 2-1 quarter-final success over Norway, but they were facing a side that had just beaten Brazil, while it also came off the back of their own impressive 3-2 victory over Mexico at the Azteca in the round of 16.
Argentina needed a last-gasp goal to beat Egypt in their own round of 16 tie and they were taken to extra time in their other two knockout games against Cape Verde and Switzerland.
The reigning champions have not impressed in their last three games and even with the obvious star power of Lionel Messi, there are weaknesses in their team that England can exploit.
The midfield battle could be particularly key, as Argentina look a little light in that area and may be overrun by England’s axis of Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham and Elliot Anderson.
England are worthy favourites to win this semi-final in 90 minutes and Thomas Tuchel’s men should perhaps be a little shorter than the 13/8 on offer.
CS Universitatea Craiova to beat ML Vitebsk (6.30pm BST) @ 1/4
Universitatea Craiova crushed Vitebsk 4-1 in Hungary in the first leg of their Champions League qualification contest and there is unlikely to be any let up from the Romanians on home turf.
Of course, the White and Blues don’t need to win the second leg, but they were vastly superior last week and they are full of confidence after winning the Romanian Super Cup on Sunday.
Atert Bissen to beat Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag (7.15pm BST) @ 8/5
Atert Bissen were a little unfortunate to lose 2-1 to Klaksvikar Itrottarfelag in the Faroe Islands last week, but their level of performance in that defeat suggests they could turn the tables on home turf.
The Yellow and Blacks had 51 per cent possession on their travels and better can be expected back in Luxembourg.
At 8/5, Bissen look worth a bet to work their way back into the tie.
FC Kairat Almaty to beat FK Sutjeska (8.00pm BST) @ 4/6
Kairat Almaty were good enough to beat Celtic to qualify for the Champions League last term and the Kazakhstan Premier League champions only went down 2-1 to Inter Milan and 3-2 at Arsenal in the league phase of last season’s competition.
Kairat were more comfortable than last week’s 2-1 win over Sutjeska suggests and Rafael Urazbakhtin’s men are a potent force at this level of football.
KS Egnatia Rrogozhine to beat CS Petrocub (8.00pm BST) @ 8/11
Albano Aleksi’s red card made it hard work for Egnatia, but the Albanians battled to a 1-1 draw against Petrocub in last week’s Champions League first qualifying round first leg and they are fancied to pick up a win at the Egnatia Arena.
Petrocub were crushed by Sabah in the second qualifying round of the Conference League last season and having also lost to Maltese minnows Birkirkara in that competition, the Moldovans look there for the taking.
