Bayern Munich Women vs Freiburg Women (17:00) - Over 2.5 Total Goals @ 4/9

Bayern Munich were held to a shock goalless draw by Jena last Saturday, which denied the three-time defending Frauen-Bundesliga champions a 16th consecutive league win. It was Bayern's first dropped points since November 8, 2024, when they exchanged four goals at Freiburg (2-2), who are Tuesday's visitors to the FC Bayern Campus.

Freiburg, who finished fifth last season, 21 points behind Bayern, were involved in an eight-goal thriller with Hamburger SV  (6-2) last Friday. It was 3-2 until the 82nd minute, with Freiburg scoring twice in three minutes and adding their sixth in the second minute of stoppage time.

The visitors haven't beaten Bayern since February 2018, but four of the last five head-to-heads have been competitive, at least, with a couple of draws in there; in fact, Freiburg scored in all three meetings last season, all of which produced at least three strikes.

The last 10 head-to-heads have gone over 2.5 goals, and with Freiburg off the back of hitting Hamburger SV for six, and Bayern desperate to get back on track after blanking against Jena, I think we could see another entertaining encounter between these two teams.

Zamalek vs El Gounah (18:00) - Zamalek to Win @ 1/2

Zamalek have made a strong start to the 2025/26 Egyptian Premier League campaign, taking 16 points from the first 21 on offer (W5, D1, L1). Yannick Ferrera's side lead the table, and after beating Ismaily 2-0 in Alexandria last Thursday, return home this week.

Tuesday's visitors to the Cairo International Stadium are El Gounah, who finished 17th in the 2024/25 regular season table, 15 points behind third-placed Zamalek, before the division was split into the Championship and Relegation Groups.

Football Odds

El Gounah began the current campaign with a 1-0 victory at Kahrabaa Ismailia, but have failed to win any of their last five games (D4, L1).

Zamalek won last season's corresponding fixture 4-1, and after claiming seven points from a possible nine at home so far this term, scoring four goals and keeping three clean sheets, they will be confident of recording a third consecutive victory on Tuesday.

Montpellier HSC vs US Boulogne (19:30) - Montpellier to Win @ 8/13

Montpellier have made a solid, if unspectacular, start to life back in the second tier of French football, following their relegation from Ligue 1 earlier this year.

La Paillade have won two, drawn two, and lost two of their opening six fixtures, and both of their defeats have come away from home. One of those losses, at Troyes (1-0), saw them reduced to 10 men in the 19th minute, with the hosts netting the only goal of the game 12 minutes later.

Today's Football Fixtures

Zoumana Camara's charges picked up their first home win of the campaign on Saturday, beating Bastia 2-0 at the Stade de la Mosson. Next up is a Tuesday visit from Boulogne, who have lost five of their first six matches following their promotion from the third tier.

The only side Boulogne have taken points off is Bastia, who are the one team below them in the Ligue 2 table. Boulogne are yet to score on their travels, losing 1-0 at Nancy and Rodez, and it's hard to see them scoring against, or taking points off, a much more illustrious Montpellier outfit in midweek.

Wrexham vs Reading (19:45, Sky Sports+) - Wrexham to Win @ 8/13

After overcoming fellow EFL Championship sides Hull City and Preston North End in the first and second round, respectively, Wrexham have been handed an easier assignment in the Carabao Cup third round, with third-tier club Reading their opponents at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday.

Reading won the last meeting between these two teams, triumphing 2-0 at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in March, but Wrexham won the reverse fixture 3-0 in Wales (August 2024).

Wrexham endured a slow start to their league season, failing to win any of their first three Championship games, but have now won two of their last three in the competition, and, including the Carabao Cup, have claimed victory in three of their last four matches.

The Red Dragons are yet to win a home game in regulation time this term, but Reading, who have lost half of their six away matches in 2025/26 (D2, L1), including their most recent two, represent ideal opponents to fix that statistic. Granted, the Royals went to Championship side Portsmouth in the first round of the Carabao Cup and won 2-1, but that was very early into the season, and you could argue that Wrexham have a stronger squad than Pompey.

Given the celebrity status of Wrexham, you can imagine their owners will be keen for as many cup runs as possible, especially as there is a good chance of facing one of the Premier League big boys in the next round, so I think Phil Parkinson will be taking this tie seriously. A home win, for me.

Levante UD vs Real Madrid (20:30, Premier Sports 2) - Real Madrid to Win @ 1/3

One of the four Tuesday La Liga fixtures takes place at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia, where Levante host Real Madrid.

Last season's La Liga 2 champions, Levante, made a poor start to life back in the top flight, losing their first three games, but they're now unbeaten in their last two, drawing 2-2 at home to Real Betis before dismantling Girona 4-0 away on Sunday.

However, it should be noted that, with the score at 0-0, Girona were reduced to 10 men in the 30th minute, and in the 46th minute, with the visitors 1-0 up, the hosts went down to nine. Levante were also 2-0 ahead against Real Betis, and threw away a two-goal lead.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are the only team with a 100% record in La Liga, having won their first five league games under Xabi Alonso, who took over from Carlo Ancelotti at the end of May.

Los Blancos have scored 10 goals and conceded just three times under the Spaniard in La Liga, keeping three clean sheets, and it would be a big surprise if they failed to claim maximum points in Valencia on Tuesday.

Reigning league champions Barcelona were 2-0 down against Levante at half-time of their trip to the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia on August 23, but still ended up winning 3-2 thanks to three second-half strikes.

If Real Madrid can avoid losing an early goal, this should be a comfortable evening for Alonso's side.

Racing Club vs Velez Sarsfield (23:00) - Under 2.5 Total Goals @ 8/15

Finally, we head to Argentina for the second leg of the Conmebol Copa Libertadores quarter-final tie between Racing Club and Velez Sarsfield.

Racing Club won the first game 1-0 in Buenos Aires last week, with hosts Velez Sarsfield paying the price for the 43rd-minute dismissal of defender Lisandro Magallan, who is now suspended for the trip to the Estadio Juan Domingo Peron in Avellaneda.

All Racing Club need to do to reach the semi-finals is avoid defeat, so you can imagine that they will be taking a risk-adverse approach to this second leg.

This fixture hasn't seen many goals in recent years, with five of the six meetings since the start of 2021 producing two or fewer strikes, and four of them have gone under 1.5. The last two have finished 1-0, and I'm not anticipating many goals again this week.
