Spain (H) to beat Turkey (19:45) @ 1/5
Spain are really good at football. Simple as that really. Five wins from five has almost secured their spot at the World Cup - with Turkey needing a massive win to overhaul them. It looks like the play-offs for Turkey, and I can’t see Spain easing up here with qualification not yet a certainty.
Switzerland (A) to beat Kosovo (19:45) @ 4/7
Switzerland hammered Sweden 4-1 last time out and the group is in their control. They are now within touching distance of the World Cup and even a narrow defeat against Kosovo will be enough to clinch top spot in the group, due to their superior goal difference.
However, Switzerland have shown time and time again that they are a strong European outfit and time again and they hammered Kosovo 4-0 in the reverse fixture. I think they will flex their muscles again in this one.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Denmark (A) to beat Scotland (19:45) @ 5/6
Sorry Scotland. Steve Clarke’s men will make it to the World Cup if they win this game, as they currently sit just one point behind Denmark in the group. It should be a belting night at Hampden Park, and the atmosphere is going to be something special, but I just think Denmark should be able to handle it with the quality and experience that they have.
Had they beaten Belarus they would have been in a far stronger position here, but I do think their class will shine through on this occasion at a decent price.
Wales (H) to beat North Macedonia (19:45) @ 8/11
Wales are in a slightly odd situation given they are unlikely to finish top of their group with Belgium hosting Liechtenstein, but they are guaranteed a spot in the play-offs given their strong showing in the Nations League.
They currently sit third, level on points with North Macedonia, who are going to be fighting for their lives as well to secure a play-off spot. However, Wales have a lot riding on this as if they win, they will play their semi-final play-off at home against a weaker nation, whereas if they draw or lose - they will have to travel away - with Italy arguably the strongest play-off team on paper. Wales need to win, and I think they will.
Morecambe vs Brackley BTTS (19:45) @ 4/7
We are moseying down to the National League now where Morecambe managed to start the season and stay in existence, but have found life tough under new manager Ashvir Singh Johal. They have had to build a squad at late notice from scratch, and they sit 23rd, with their games packed full of goals.
Twenty-three goals scored, 48 conceded now, and BTTS has come in during their last four outings. Shouldn’t be any different tonight.
