Manchester United (A) to beat West Ham @ 8/11

Five in a row for Manchester United? Michael Carrick’s impact on this team has been remarkable and another win at the weekend has them going steady in fourth. They look on track to compete in the Champions League next term, and will fancy their chances away to West Ham.

The Hammers beat Burnley 2-0 and have looked impressive at home lately, but they are likely to find it tough against this massively improved and vibrant United outfit. Away win.

Birmingham (A) to beat West Brom @ 10/11

Birmingham City are edging closer to the play-offs, and Chris Davies’ side now sit just two points off the top six having beaten Leicester at home at the weekend. They seem to have shaken off their poor away form as well, as back-to-back away wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford United have given them a boost, and I’ll back them to beat another relegation candidate here.

West Brom have been dreadful under Eric Ramsay and are just one point above the bottom three. The Baggies improved in the 0-0 against Stoke, but might find it difficult against an improving Blues outfit.

Norwich (A) to beat Oxford @ 11/8

Oxford got a creditable 0-0 draw away at a misfiring Coventry team on Saturday, but they face arguably a tougher test on Tuesday as they host in-form Norwich. Philippe Clement has got Norwich playing some superb stuff and they’ve now won four of their last five as they make a late charge towards the top half.

The Canaries are a play-off side and would be in the top six had it not been for a horrendous start to the season under Liam Manning. I think they will beat an Oxford outfit that is fighting for their lives.

Southampton (A) to beat Leicester @ 11/8

Leicester are also in deep trouble after their six-point deduction, and they sit level on points with the bottom three having lost at Birmingham. They look devoid of any quality right now, while Southampton have really turned a corner (for the second time), under Tonda Eckert.

Ten points from their last four has them dreaming of the play-offs again, and they now sit just four points behind the top six. A win here could catapult them into contention.

Cambridge (A) to beat Crawley @ 23/20

Dropping down to League 2 to round off our acca now and Cambridge United will hope to get back to winning ways after losing away at Harrogate Town last time out. That ended a run of six wins in a row in the league that had propelled them up to fifth in the table.

Crawley, meanwhile, are keeping the scores down lately, having kept three clean sheets out of four, but they were beaten 1-0 by Crewe at the weekend and they still only sit 20th in the fourth tier. Five away wins give us a big price of 40/1.
