Last week's goalscorer selections were very disappointing as just one of my four selections landed, so a special thank you to the reliable Harry Kane. This week I am determined to deliver a much better return, and I have made my four selections carefully.

Check out my latest Anytime Goalscorer Tips below, which pay out at 18/1.

Football Odds

Sorba Thomas (Stoke vs Hull)

Starting in the Championship lunch-time kick-off as Stoke City take on Hull City. The Potters moved up to second in the table following their home win over Charlton Athletic in midweek, while Middlesbrough were beaten by leaders Coventry City.

Stoke have made quite the impression in the first few months of the campaign and one player who has been impressing in particular is Sorba Thomas. The former Huddersfield Town man has struggled to reach the heights he set at the Terriers a few years ago but he has been looking back to his best for the Potters this season, having already produced six goals and six assists.

He was the star of the show on Tuesday as he was on the scoresheet twice and teed up the other goal in the 3-0 victory. He will be heading into the weekend with confidence and I think he can dazzle against a Hull side that have lost their last two fixtures.

Igor Thiago (Brentford vs Burnley)

In the Premier League, Brentford striker Igor Thiago will be determined to make amends after seeing his last-minute penalty saved in last week's defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion. The forward had the chance to salvage a point for the Bees but his spot-kick was saved by Bart Verbruggen.

Thiago remains the second-highest goalscorer in the division with nine goals, and he had earlier tucked away a penalty against the Seagulls. When Burnley make the trip to west London on Saturday, I predict they will see firsthand the threat the Brentford number nine poses.

Ellis Simms (Coventry vs Charlton)

When everyone was fit and available at Coventry, Ellis Simms found his game time limited but with Haji Wright out of the picture for the time being due to injury, Frank Lampard has handed the former Everton striker a chance - and he is taking it.

The attacker has started the last two games since the international break and he has scored three goals, with a brace coming in the crunch clash at Boro on Tuesday night, including an incredible effort that opened the scoring in the 4-2 spectacle.

The Sky Blues host Charlton Athletic on Saturday, with the Addicks suffering heavy defeats against Southampton and Stoke heading into this clash with the table-toppers. Charlton have leaked eight goals in those games, so Simms will be rubbing his hands together.

Erling Haaland (Man City vs Leeds)

Manchester City's goal machine Erling Haaland was one of the three players to let us down last week - but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he has been consistent when being selected in this column.

City host struggling Leeds United on Saturday and this will be a game for the hosts to bounce back in style following their defeat at Newcastle United last weekend. This was followed by home disappointment in the Uefa Champions League against Bayer Leverkusen - so this is a game in which the Citizens have to produce a convincing display.

Haaland leads the way in the top-flight scoring charts this term with 14 goals and he has two in as many appearances against Leeds. The Whites have lost three on the bounce heading into this one, and I think Haaland can add to their woes.
