Betfred Deposit Methods
Betfred accept all common payments methods. These include VISA, MasterCard, Instant Bank Payments and BACS.
Credit Cards will only be accepted if you’re a resident of the Republic of Ireland, Gibraltar, Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. Credit Cards from residents of the United Kingdom, i.e. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland cannot deposit via this method.
Your chosen payment method must belong to you and the name registered must match your Betfred account.

Betfred will not charge you for depositing money into your account via whichever method you choose.
How do I Deposit?
Please login to your Betfred Account either on site or via the App and then find the ‘Deposit’ button in the top-right side portion of the screen. On the website the button is blue and on the App, you’ll find the button is coloured green.
Once you’ve clicked on this button, you can choose your preferred method of depositing funds into your account.
Is there a minimum deposit amount?
Yes but this differs between methods. Please choose your preferred method to put funds into your account and the minimum amount will be indicated on screen.
What will show on my bank statement?
All deposits will simply be labelled as ‘Betfred’
Do you use ‘Open Banking’ methods?
Yes, you can use Open Banking methods to deposit funds into your Betfred account.
For those new to Open Banking and who haven’t heard of it before, using this methods for payments allows you to pay directly from your bank account.
This means there is no need to submit your card details for each transaction. There are no fees attached and the payments use bank-level security measures and two-factor authentication to ensure all transactions are safe.
Betfred do support the majority of UK banks. Please check when depositing and trying to use this facility if your bank is listed. If for whatever reason, your bank is not listed, you may need to use an alternative payment method.
To use this facility, please select Open Banking Payments when making a deposit and log in to your online banking to authorise the payment. If you experience an issue with Open Banking deposits, ensure you have online banking set up, double-check your login credentials, and verify that your bank supports Open Banking payments and withdrawals.
