Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to tighten their grip on a playoff spot when they welcome Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday (15:00 BST, Sky Sports Cricket).

Five straight victories have lifted Pat Cummins' side into third place, but they now face a rejuvenated KKR outfit that finally appears to have clicked after a stuttering start.

SRH's rise has been powered by the most explosive top order in the competition, while KKR's recent revival has been driven by improved middle‑order contributions and the long‑awaited emergence of Cameron Green.

With both teams carrying momentum, Saturday's clash in Hyderabad has the feel of a pivotal fixture in the playoff race.

Team news

SRH are unlikely to change a winning formula. Cummins' return has strengthened their bowling attack, while Eshan Malinga continues to impress with his pace and yorkers.

The top order remains settled, with Ishan Kishan thriving at No.3 and in-form Heinrich Klaasen dominating the middle overs.

As for the Knight Riders, Rinku Singh could be promoted to No.4 to stabilise the innings.

Their bowling attack hinges on spin twins Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy finding rhythm.

SRH vs KKR Odds

Sunrisers Hyderabad are 4/7 favourites at home, while Kolkata Knight Riders are 11/8 to halt their winning streak.

It's 7/4 for KKR to hit the most sixes and 8/13 for SRH to record the highest opening partnership.

Rinku Singh Top KKR batter @ 9/2

Rinku Singh has top-scored in KKR's last two games, guiding his team home with an unbeaten 53 against Rajasthan Royals and blasting 83 off 51 balls in a tense Super Over win against Lucknow Super Giants.

The India middle-order batter has been more productive than any of his team-mates this year and should enjoy Sunday's matchup with the Sunrisers’ quick bowlers.

While susceptible to spin, Singh has always had the ability to dominate against pace.

And he could face plenty of it with SRH taking four quick bowlers, one medium pacer and only one spinner into their last match against Mumbai Indians.

Wrist spinner Shivang Kumar, who could be added to their attack, has taken only one wicket in his last four appearances.

If early wickets fall - a realistic possibility given KKR's inconsistent starts - Rinku is the batter most likely to absorb pressure and rebuild before launching late. His temperament in chases and his clean hitting at the death give him multiple pathways to winning this market.

Tim Seifert and Ajinkya Rahane are still searching for rhythm and while Green's form has improved, it looks far from bankable, so Rinku offers the best blend of reliability and upside in away team batting markets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad 1st over runs - Over 8.5 @ 8/11

SRH's powerplay dominance has been one of the defining features of their season. Against MI they blasted 94 runs from the first six overs, with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head dismantling a seam attack featuring world-class new-ball exponents Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult.

Boult's second ball disappeared for six as SRH began by taking 11 runs from the opening over and Jofra Archer received similar punishment in the match before as his first over cost 13 runs.

Abhishek's strike rate in the powerplay remains above 200, while Head's ability to clear the infield early makes SRH the most dangerous team in the league during the powerplay.

KKR's powerplay bowling has lacked control. Their lengths have been inconsistent and they have often failed to create early pressure.

With SRH's ultra‑aggressive approach and the confidence gained from Thursday's win, hitting nine or more runs in the opening over seems well within their compass.
