GT vs KKR Prediction: Home bats to inflict more misery on visitors

Kolkata Knight Riders have had a tough start to the new IPL season, they remain the only team in the competition yet to win a game after four defeats and a rained-off fifth clash.
They will look to turn their season around as they visit Ahmedabad to take on Gujarat Titans, who have won two of their four matches. Read on for my GT vs KKR predictions.

Gujarat Titans are 4/7 to win this one while Kolkata Knight Riders are available at 11/8. Shubman Gill is 11/5 favourite to top score for the hosts while Finn Allen, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Ajinkya Rahane and Tim Seifert are all 10/3 joint-favourites to top score for Kolkata.
Team News
Gujarat Titans may field a similar team to that which beat Lucknow Super Giants last time out, although Kagiso Rabada’s place is under threat after some underwhelming performances. Jason Holder could feature instead.
Umran Malik and Varun Chakravarthy have both been passed fit for Kolkata Knight Riders, who may ring the changes after their disappointing start to the campaign.
Sai Sudharsan Top Home Team Batter @ 9/4
Sai Sudharsan has failed to quite live up to last season in the IPL in which he topped the scoring charts with 759 runs at an average of 54.21 and with six half-centuries and an unbeaten 108.
However, on a batter-friendly Ahmedabad pitch and against a Kolkata Knight Riders team who are struggling badly, the Gujarat Titans opener could get back to his best.
Sudharsan made 73 against Rajasthan Royals in his only other game at this ground this season and he looks set to impress once more in front of his own fans.
While there are plenty of contenders in a respected GT batting lineup, Sudharsan has shown time and again that he is a truly quality player and he is fancied to top score for the hosts in this one.

Jos Buttler over 29.5 runs @ 5/6
Jos Buttler has been nearing his brilliant best this season and looks a solid bet to make at least 30 runs on what should be a helpful surface in Ahmedabad.
The England international has made 176 runs across his four innings, with totals of 38, 26, 52 and 60. Against a Kolkata Knight Riders team who have allowed totals of at least 190 in four of their last five completed games, Buttler looks to have a strong chance of busting 30.
