England and Pakistan complete a four-match T20 series which has been ruined by the weather with a day/nighter from The Oval (18:30).

Jos Buttler's side lead the series 1-0 courtesy of a 23-run success at Edgbaston on Saturday, a victory sandwiched between a pair of wash-outs at Headingley and Cardiff.

England vs Pakistan Betting Tips

  • Moeen Ali Top England Wicket Taker @ 17/2
  • Fakhar Zaman Top Pakistan Run Scorer @ 5/1

Team News

Both teams will look to make changes in what is their final warm-up match before the T20 World Cup starts in the Caribbean and United States.

England captain Buttler is a doubt anyway with his wife expecting their third child. Ben Duckett stands by to replace him, though may well get a knock anyway. Mark Wood and Sam Curran should also expect to be drafted in to get some competitive overs under their belt.

Pakistan are likely to rest one of or both of Mohammad Amir and Haris Rauf with fellow seamers Abbas Afridi and Naseem Shah standing by.

England vs Pakistan Match Odds

England are 4/9 to win against Pakistan, who they are meeting at The Oval in a T20 international for just the second time. (England won the first, way back in 2009).

Pakistan are 13/8 to level the series.

Player performance markets in, effectively, non-competitive games come with the usual warning over team selection.

Both England and Pakistan have squads at their disposal and both will want to get pitch-time into all or most of those players prior to the start of the T20 World Cup next week.

One player who should be playing for England is Moeen Ali, for several reasons. First, he's vice-captain, second, the captain - Jos Buttler - could well be absent. And third, England have a plan with Moeen bowling in the powerplay and that needs to be continued all the way into the heat of the competition.

Moeen struck with his third ball at Edgbaston to remove Mohammad Rizwan and finished with two for 26. And at 17/2 he looks a really enticing price to be top England wicket taker.

Fakhar Zaman Top Pakistan Run Scorer @ 5/1

Fakhar Zaman batted beautifully at Edgbaston at the weekend, smashing 45 off 21 balls with three sixes.

In a top order generally short of fireworks, the veteran left-handed becomes a big part of their armory heading into the World Cup.

That was the fifth T20 international Zaman had batted in since April, featuring twice against New Zealand and then twice more against Ireland. In those four games he scored 61, 43, 20 and 78 and is in demonstrably better form than any of his team-mates.

Again, he can't be a certain starter but if he is then 5/1 that he is his side's top run scorer looks mightily attractive.
