Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury II Odds: Fury the underdog for heavyweight rematch

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will clash for the second time in 2024 as they go toe to toe for the WBA (Super), WBC and WBO heavyweight titles in Saudi Arabia.

Seven months after their first showdown, heavyweight stars Usyk and Fury will compete for world title glory in Riyadh on Saturday night.

Fury suffered the first defeat of his career in May, as he lost via a split decision to Usyk at the Kingdom Arena.

The Briton, who is the 13/10 outsider for the rematch, started the first fight well, setting a decent tempo as he kept Usyk at range and avoided serious punishment.

The Gypsy King, who has a height and reach advantage over Usyk, got sloppy in the ninth round though and let his guard down near the ropes.

The Ukrainian pounced and hit Fury with a quick one-two before his opponent was given a standing count, and eventually saved by the bell.

As he usually does, Fury dug deep and finished the fight strongly, but it was Usyk who became the modern era's first four-belt heavyweight champion.

Usyk's ability to adjust his tactics and overcome the Gypsy King means he is the 5/6 favourite for the rematch, while the draw is 14/1.

The former undisputed cruiserweight world champion has yet to lose as a professional fight and has outclassed the best fighters of his generation.

At cruiserweight, he beat the likes of Marco Huck, Mairis Breidis, Murat Gassiev, and Tony Bellew. Usyk is one of the best, if not the best, in the world at forcing his opponents into making mistakes.

While he carried power at cruiserweight, Usyk has not necessarily taken that up to heavyweight level.

He retired Chazz Witherspoon in his corner on his debut at heavyweight in October 2019, before beating Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua twice, and then Daniel Dubois, at least recording a knockout win against the latter, who is now the IBF heavyweight champion.

Another Usyk split-decision win has been boosted to 10/1 this weekend, while he is 2/1 to win on points.

Fury certainly looks to have taken the rematch more seriously and has vowed to send his 37-year-old opponent into retirement.

The Manchester fighter is 3/1 to win by knockout and 7/2 to win on points, and as the outsider, he has taken himself away from the spotlight.

Fury has been working hard in Malta at a warm-weather training camp and looks fully focused and ready for a bruising encounter.

In the first bout, the former WBC champion was guilty of taking his mind off the task at hand, but he will be desperate to prove he is the best of his generation.

Fury has claimed the fight will not go the distance, but those who expect the bout to go all the way can do so at 8/11.

Saturday's matchup is another huge fight for the sport and the division and a win for Fury would set up a trilogy, but if Usyk has his hand raised one again, expect possible rematches against Joshua or Dubois.
