Brown might be going in with his best pro opponent yet, but the Manchester man is still a 1/33 favourite. Ducar is priced at 12/1 while the draw is priced at 22/1.
Brown vs Ducar Fight Preview
When you’re handling a fighter like Pat Brown, it can be difficult to balance what his skills deserve and what his experience level needs. A two-time national champion in the amateurs and a Paris 2024 Olympian, the ceiling is high for this guy.
The temptation is there to pair him up with the biggest and the baddest. Particularly as Brown’s style feels made for the professional ranks. He is a destructive puncher and is never shy about going looking for an opponent. Pat’s aggression has overwhelmed five foes so far, with a 100% KO ratio to boot.
The level of competition has been moderate, as it should be. But Brown has not fought any boxers with losing records and the quality of quarry has steadily increased. Previous opponent Felix Valera was a little over-the-hill, but he had fought Dmitry Bivol for 12 rounds a decade ago. Boxers like that can teach you the tricks on your way up.
Ducar is another fighter more notable for who he hasn’t beaten than who he has. The 36-year-old from the Czech Republic has boxed names like former world champion Chris Billam-Smith, Cuban contender Mike Perez and two-time world title challenger Michal Cieslak. Ducar has lost to each of these acclaimed men, but that’s not the point.
Brown needs to see and deal with things that he hasn’t as a professional. Boxing someone like Ducar, who has mixed it with world-level operators, can add another layer to his game. Brown is already a class apart from the Czech campaigner, but these are the fights which put hairs on the chest of an up-and-coming prospect.

Matchroom are right to exercise caution. Brown has been open about his desire to fight anyone. He has even teased us with a potential heavyweight clash with gym-mate Dave Allen as well as targeting The Ring cruiserweight kingpin Jai Opetaia. But for now, Ducar is an adequate test. Race through this one and then it’s time to take the handbrake off.
Without putting the cart before the horse, the most startling thing on Friday night is likely to be the atmosphere. Brown has a fanatical grassroots following and they made Planet Ice a fortress for his debut. ‘The Bomber’ took out Federico Javier Grandone in four rounds in front of one of the pound-for-pound loudest crowds I have ever witnessed.
The support will be vociferous again on Friday night. Can Pat Brown produce a performance to match?

Brown vs Ducar Predictions
This task shouldn’t trouble Brown too much. Ducar is a tough ol’ fella but he comes unstuck against those destined for more. Whether more ends up being domestic, continental or European titles remains to be seen for the Mancunian. But Brown wins this one by stoppage without much trouble at 2/9.
