Hiruta vs Soliman Odds

Champion Hiruta is 1/12 to score the victory. Soliman is the underdog at 17/2 while the draw is marketed at 14/1.

Hiruta vs Soliman Fight Preview

Japanese star Hiruta was crowned The Ring Magazine Female Fighter of the Year last year and she earned that crown the hard way. The Okayama-born boxer fought four times in 2025, winning every single bout.

Hiruta kicked off a banner annum with a technical decision win over former WBA super flyweight queen Maribel Ramirez. Up next was South American champion Carla Merino, who she out-pointed over 10. A dominant decision over Naomy Gomez followed before Hiruta ended her year with a shut-out of former world title challenger Gloria Gallardo.

While the headlines are often dominated by the likes of Claressa Shields, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano; 2025 was truly the year of Hiruta. Now the best-kept secret in women’s boxing gets a platform befitting her talents, as all eyes turn to Usyk vs Verhoeven under the pyramids.

Soliman’s route here feels like a movie. Born in Egypt and raised in Australia, the 10-1 challenger started her pro career in Revesby Workers Club. Now she is returning to the country of her birth fighting for the super flyweight championship of the world.

At the risk of puncturing a Hollywood-ready narrative, that ascent has possibly come a shade quickly. Soliman has boxed just one scheduled 10-rounder; a seventh-round stoppage of former Australian champion Jasmine Parr. It was an impressive display, but the rest of the 28-year-old’s record has been forged against journeywomen or fellow novices.

Soliman has suffered defeat before. She was pipped to the post via split decision against 0-2 Bec Moss in second pro fight. But she has gone unblemished since and her fairytale story seems to be doing any heavy lifting her thin record cannot manage during fight week.

Hiruta is not even the weakest world title challenger on the card, given the headline attraction is the greatest heavyweight of the last two decades facing a man who has boxed once as a professional. But given Hiruta’s truly terrifying run of form, one wonders if Soliman could have used a couple more high-class opponents before dipping her toe in these waters.

Hiruta vs Soliman Prediction

The equaliser here could be Soliman’s power. The Egyptian-Australian has knocked out six of her 10 victims, which is a startling number for a female super flyweight. Hiruta usually goes the long way round, having finished two of her 10 opponents. The challenger could look to make this into a brawl.

Soliman does have a nice line in come-forward bravado. Her hands are fast and she packs power. But southpaw Hiruta will be looking to counter any such attacks with her precise punch-picking. Soliman’s night will come down to how well she times her raids and how she deals with what the champion throws back.

I think this fight is made for Hiruta and I can see the Japanese star scoring a rare stoppage at 16/5.
