DR Congo vs Uzbekistan Bet Builder Tips: 8/1 four-fold sees Celeste set a historic course

DR Congo vs Uzbekistan might not be the first fixture that comes to mind when one thinks of World Cup finals football, but there’s a place in the round of 32 to be claimed in the Group K clash in Atlanta on Saturday night (7:30pm local, 12:30am Sunday BST, live on BBC Two).
It’s unlikely that the White Wolves will deliver the thrashing they need to progress, but their African opponents know a win will send them to the knockouts for the first time. My DR Congo vs Uzbekistan Bet Builder tips are below, with an 8.37/1 selection for you.

DR Congo to win
With the carrot of potential progression dangling in front of them, I fancy DR Congo here.
Sure, Uzbekistan have nothing to lose and a World Cup win would be a brilliant prize to take home with them even if they end up way off the target in terms of goal difference.
But it’s the Celeste who have looked more at home in these surroundings, sending in more shots at goal than Portugal in their opening 1-1 draw. And I think they pick up a priceless win here to send them into a historic knockout fixture.
Under 2.5 Goals
I’m not sure Uzbekistan truly have what it takes to make this a ding-dong affair in the truest sense of the term.
And while I see DR Congo getting on top of them, they might well be living on their nerves somewhat. So I’m happy to go with the under on a total 2.5 goals.
Betfred's Sub Switch rolls your bet to the oncoming substitute, so you stay in the game, even when your player doesn’t.
Player 2+ Shots (Sub Switch): Yoane Wissa
Newcastle United’s Yoane Wissa has been a regular threat thus far, scoring the equaliser against Portugal and sending in a total of three shots across the opening two matches.
He should be pretty central to DR Congo’s hopes of getting the win they need to continue their involvement in the competition, and as such there ought to be at least two efforts at goal coming from the powerful number 20.
Player 2+ Fouls (Sub Switch): Abdukodir Khusanov
If Manchester City’s Abdukodir Khusanov doesn’t get close enough to his opposing striker to commit two fouls, then frankly he’s not doing it right.
Unlikely though it is that they will get even close to the sort of score they need to progress, this arguably remains the most important game in Uzbekistan’s history. If Khusanov could be an integral part of an Uzbekistan World Cup win, he would be a national hero.
And while I don’t see them getting the result, I can see a performance along the lines of the one against Colombia which saw him pick up a yellow card and give away three fouls.
