Lucky 15 Tips: Sending out an SDS at Yarmouth – six times!

 | Thursday 25th June 2026, 18:27

Thursday 25th June 2026, 18:27

Shameless piece of promotion for our daily L15 feature first. Yesterday's early meeting at Newmarket yielded us two outright winners, another scorer who dead-heated for first, and a second. If a certain well-known Danish lager did tipping columns ...

Thursday's rhubarb arrives courtesy of a seven-race card at Yarmouth, a proper seaside special (although knowing the UK we'll perhaps have had biblical downpours overnight - hopefully not). First race is at 10:30, and if the brilliant Silvestre De Sousa doesn't have at least one winner (six booked mounts as I write) I'll be very surprised; not, admittedly, for the first time ...

11:00 Yarmouth - Jazzy Blue @ 4/1

Maiden two-year-old fillies' stakes contest, over 6f.

Trainer Charlie Fellowes doesn't have to travel too far, sending four on a little raiding party to Yarmouth on Friday from Newmarket, and this is one of them. A daughter of Showcasing, out of a Galileo mare - Jazzy Blue.

Two runs so far - a never-sighted on debut here, running green in rear, then a completely different kettle of fish at Leicester over 7f, just giving best late on and finishing second of nine, beaten less than 2l in a massively-improved display.

Paddy Bradley was in the plate on both occasions and is on board once again this morning.

12:30 Yarmouth - Rogue Allegiance @ 9/4

Handicap for three-year-old+ horses, over 7f.

My selection is Rogue Allegiance, a four-year-old Kodiac gelding in terrific form in three runs since joining the Jack Jones yard from David O'Meara in April.

Earlier this month this busy boy was on his travels again, this time to James Owen's at HQ, and he debuts for his new yard today. Harry Davies takes the mount, and looks like a winner waiting to happen to me.

Only up a pound for a 0.75l reverse here in a similar race (trip/grade) in May, I'm sure James will be hoping the marked improvement shown on those last three outings can even perhaps be improved upon further, now that Rogue Allegiance has taken his form to a whole new level.

NAP material.

13:00 Yarmouth - Always Perfect @ 7/2

We're with Charlie Fellowes again, this time on a three-year-old Sioux Nation filly going 6f in a Class 5 handicap - Always Perfect.

Four nice runs so far at an ordinary level, but her opening handicap mark of 62 has been nudged up now to 63 today after finishing close-up at Leicester in a similar affair 31 days ago (beaten 1.75l). The assessor was impressed enough, and her mark looks to be a workable one.

Paddy Bradley is again on top and the filly is getting a nice bit of weight from two obvious market rivals. Another with very persuasive claims.

13:30 Yarmouth - Shining Guest @ 5/1

This is my homage to SDS - Silvestre De Sousa, who seems to have been quite brilliant and around the scene for ever. He often reserves some of his very best magic for this particular track and could this be another vintage instalment?

The Brazilian teams up with George Margarson's Shining Guest here, a three-year-old Starman filly in a classified stakes race over 6f.

She's out of a Bated Breath mare so bred to be an absolute whizz at this trip. She's had three undistinguished runs so far, but I don't think she's really started just yet in fairness. Didn't appear to stay 7f on debut, and has been jumping paths, running green and all sorts in the others.

Last seen down the field here in April, and with SDS booked she might just be about to announce herself, touch wood.

If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £490 for a £7.50 total stake. If you can improve upon our selections (of course you can) - then go for it!
