Ivory Coast to beat Curacao (9pm BST) @ 1/6

Kick-off a four-timer with bankers Ivory Coast.

The Elephants were unfortunate to go down to a late Deniz Undav strike when losing 2-1 to Germany last time out, but Emerse Fae's men were the better side in the second half of that contest.

Yan Diomande, Ange Bonny and Amad Diallo are good attacking options and that is what the Ivory Coast will need against Curacao.

The Blue Wave conceded 27 efforts on goal and an expected goals figure of 2.84 in their 0-0 draw with Ecuador and that followed a 7-1 hammering by Germany.

Ivory Coast shouldn’t have any issues seeing off Curacao.

Ecuador to beat Germany (9pm BST) @ 5/2

Germany are certain to finish top of Group E and it would be no surprise if Julian Nagelsmann rotated his side for the final first-phase contest with Ecuador.

Die Mannschaft have looked good going forward in wins over Curacao and Ivory Coast, but they conceded in both of those matches and Germany looked vulnerable for large parts of the tie with Ivory Coast.

Ecuador are a robust defensive unit, and while they have picked up just a point from their two World Cup games, expected goals totals of 2.84 and 1.01 suggest the Tri have deserved more than a single draw.

Sebastian Beccacece's men have the quality to beat a potentially weakened Germany side.

Football Odds

Japan to beat Sweden (Friday 12am BST) @ 9/10

Sweden started their World Cup campaign in stylish fashion when beating Tunisia 5-1, but it wasn't a huge surprise that the Blue and Yellow failed to follow up against the Netherlands.

Graham Potter's men had only 13 efforts on goal and created an expected goals figure of just 1.33 against Tunisia, who offered very little in reply.

Of course, Sweden have Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres in attack, which always gives a chance of outperforming the numbers, but Japan are a more well-rounded and balanced team.

Samurai Blue were good in their 2-2 draw with the Oranje and that was followed by a 4-0 rout of Tunisia. Japan look the clear pick and they could still finish top of the group.

Netherlands to beat Tunisia (Friday 12am BST) @ 1/7

Tunisia have been battered 4-0 and 5-1 in their World Cup matches and another heavy defeat awaits against the Netherlands.

Oranje are a well-coached side under Ronald Koeman and the emphasis is very much on attack.

The Netherlands created an xG of 2.61 in their 5-1 crushing of Sweden last time out and the Dutch rate as serious World Cup contenders, so Koeman's side are acca certainties against Tunisia.
