France vs Senegal Bet Builder Tips: 15/1 for Olise magic

One of the games of the group stages comes our way on Tuesday night as France face Senegal in New Jersey (2pm local, 8pm BST, BBC One).

France vs Senegal Odds

Over 2.5 goals 

I know that most people will back the favourites France for this game, and perhaps back them to win the entire tournament. However, I’m a massive fan of Senegal and although I don’t think they qualify as ‘dark horses’ they have a tremendous amount of quality. 

They reached the final of AFCON this year, and won it on the pitch, before the CAF overruled the final and awarded the game to hosts Morocco. Still, Senegal showed their quality in that tournament, and their experience in big games should come in handy.

They’ve got plenty of top-flight experience in attack, with Ismaila Sarr, Nicolas Jackson and Sadio Mane set to start as their front three. That should be enough to seriously trouble France, who have seen over 2.5 goals in their last nine outings.

The French attack needs no introduction, with Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Michael Olise three of the best forwards in the world right now. I can’t wait for this game, and I think it will deliver plenty of goals, so let’s back over 2.5 to get this Bet Builder going. I’m steering clear of predicting the match result…

Michael Olise to score 

Mbappe and Demebele may get the headlines, but Bayern Munich’s Olise may use this tournament as the platform to prove he is the best winger in world football. Deschamps is clearly ready to make him a key player in that front four as well, as he scored a remarkable hat-trick in their final friendly against Northern Ireland.

With Senegal likely to have their hands full with Mbappe & Co., it is going to be tough for them to stop Olise. With France’s vibrant attack running at him, I can’t see him staying out of the referee’s notebook for this one.
