Canada vs Bosnia and Herzegovina Odds
Canada are not only as the best bet on Friday, but the Reds are one of their strongest wagers on the entire World Cup coupon.
Marsch's men will have home advantage in, but there is way more to the co-hosts' prospects than just the home setting.
The Reds have an improving and talented squad and they are well-coached by underrated gaffer Marsch.
Juventus forward Jonathan David brings goals and quality in attack and he is well supported by Tajon Buchanan out wide.
Celtic's Alistair Johnston is a top-level defender and Ismael Kone is a driving force in midfield.
Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies will miss Canada's opening two group games, but there is enough quality available to Marsch to see off Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Reds have lost only one of their last 17 matches and they haven't been beating up poor opposition.
Colombia, Ecuador, Ireland, USA, Wales and Ukraine have all failed to beat Canada on that impressive run and Bosnia and Herzegovina do not rate an upgrade on any of those teams.
Clearly, there is no qualification form when it comes to Canada, but they performed well in 1-0 and 2-1 losses to Belgium and Morocco at the World Cup four years ago and it may have been a different story had Thibaut Courtois not saved Davies' spot-kick.
There has been plenty of improvement from the Reds and far better is expected this time around.
Bosnia and Herzegovina rate as the weakest of the European qualifiers and Sergej Barbarez's men were extremely fortunate when qualifying for the World Cup.
The Dragons could only finish second behind Austria in the group stage, before penalty shootout successes against Wales and Italy saw them claim a finals spot.
Barbarez's side have failed to win any of their last five games in 90 minutes and they have scored only four goals on that run.
Star man Edin Dzeko is set to lead Bosnia and Herzegovina's forward line, but the 40-year-old is way past his best and there is a real lack of quality outside of the former Manchester City striker.
Canada's high-tempo play should break down a deep-lying Dragons defence and offers of 5/6 are very attractive in a contest which could be one-way traffic.
