Peru provide the opposition for Spain in their final friendly before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the South American and European nation facing off at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc in Puebla, Mexico (Monday 8pm local, Tuesday 3am BST, Prime Video).

Below are my Peru vs Spain predictions, alongside team news and match odds.

Team News

Renzo Garces and Jairo Velez were the heroes for Peru in their 2-1 win over Haiti in Miami last week, scoring the equaliser and winner in the 81st and 83rd minute, respectively, and both should get the nod to start again.

World Cup Odds

Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams (both hamstring) and Victor Munoz (leg) are unlikely to be risked, with a view to all three returning for Spain's World Cup opener against Cape Verde on 15 June.

Peru vs Spain Predicted Lineups

  • Peru: Gallesse; Sonne, Garces, Barco, Lopez; Carrillo, Noriega, Concha; Velez, Vidales, Cabrera
  • Spain: Raya; Porro, Pubill, Laporte, Grimaldo; Gavi, Zubimendi; Torres, Olmo, Baena; Iglesias

Peru vs Spain Odds

Peru are 14/1, or a 6.7% chance, to win, with Spain 1/7, implying a 87.5% probability of success, and the draw offered at 11/2.

Peru vs Spain Stats

  • Torres (SPA) has scored six goals in his last eight apps (six starts) for club and country, opening the scoring twice
  • SPA have kept seven clean sheets in their last nine games, winning six

Price Boosts - Ferran Torres To Score First @ 10/3 4/1

Barcelona and Spain forward Ferran Torres is good value to score first in Puebla with this Price Boost, assuming he starts, of course.

The 26-year-old began La Roja's 1-1 draw with Iraq in La Coruna last week and opened the scoring in the 16th minute, only for Graham Arnold's side to equalise 11 minutes later through Merchas Doski.

Torres has now scored six goals in his last eight games for club and country (six starts), opening the scoring twice, and five of those strikes have come in the first half, so even if he hasn't been first on the scoresheet, he's come close.

To Win to Nil - Spain @ 3/5

Peru have scored in six of their last seven games, but only one of their opponents, Senegal (12th), was ranked inside FIFA's top 30 at the time, and they lost 2-0 to the Lions of Teranga in a March friendly.

La Bicolor struggled badly for goals in World Cup qualifying, netting just six times in 18 matches, with only bottom-side Chile (nine) also failing to reach double figures.

Spain were held to a shock draw by Iraq last week, but I'm expecting La Roja to step up their preparations a notch or two in Puebla, adopting an even more serious approach in their final friendly.

Luis de la Fuente's charges had kept seven clean sheets in their previous eight games, showing how strong they are at the back when they put their minds to it.
