Broncos vs Titans Prediction: Brisbane to get going again at Staggs party

The free-falling NRL champions have the chance to get back on the bike on Saturday when the Brisbane Broncos host the struggling Gold Coast Titans at Suncorp Stadium (7:35pm local, 10:35am BST, Sky Sports Action).
The Bronx have lost four straight, including to the previously-winless Dragons last up, but the 16th-placed Titans are winless in five themselves. My Broncos vs Titans predictions are below with full team news and Betfred’s match odds.

Despite their funk, the Broncos are huge favourites at 2/5 and an implied probability of 71.4%. The Titans are 11/5 and the draw is available at 16/1.
Team News
Brisbane boss Michael Maguire welcomes back Grant Anderson and Tom Duffy, with Ezra Mam dropped to the bench and Gehamat Shibasaki missing out with a knee issue.
With Pat Carrigan absent due to an ankle problem, Xavier Willison moves back to loose forward with Jack Gosiewski stepping in at second row.
The Titans have Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Jojo Fifita back on board after playing for the Maroons in Game 1 of the State of Origin.
Jaylan De Groot and Klese Haas switch to the interchange bench to make way for the returnees, with Lachlan Ilias and Adam Christensen sat down for the week.
Broncos to Win Both Halves @ 7/5
It’s hard to back against the Broncos here even in spite of their travails of late. This is more of a reflection on the Titans than it is on Brisbane’s form, but I think the reigning champs have plenty in them to get back to winning ways.
Granted, I would have said the same ahead of them losing to the Dragons last week, but there’s no way Maguire allows that to happen again.
I like the look of Brisbane by 13+ points, but that is a fairly narrow 11/10. And that makes this pick about the Broncos winning both halves more attractive at 7/5.

Kotoni Staggs Anytime Tryscorer @ EVENS
There’s some plain old logic about this one. The EVENS price tag about Kotoni Staggs getting across the line implies a 50% shot, but he has seven tries already this season in 11 games across all competitions.
He’s always a threat in the outside backs, and with the Titans likely to give up some points there should be extra chances available before the ball reaches the wings.
