Lotto Big Winner News: Fare play for French Lottery-winning taxi driver
A Lucky Lotto online punter is celebrating being £90,000 better off at Betfred thanks to the French Lottery.
Cliff Dadds, who used his family birthday numbers and placed just £3 at odds of 30,000/1, was jumping for joy after 3, 4, 15 and 17 were drawn on Wednesday night.
The taxi driver from Northampton said, "It’s life changing for me".

"I was absolutely gobsmacked when I found out. I was working in the early hours of the morning and was just out and about when I thought I’d check the French results.
"I was in a daydream for about an hour but once the penny dropped, I thought ‘no more fares tonight, that’s me’ and went home.
"The numbers are all family birthdays, and I’ve actually got Jason Kelly, the Betfred shop manager in St James’ to thank for this as he put me onto the French lottery.
"I’ve been into the shop this morning to thank him and treat the staff. They are a great team and Jason is a fantastic manager".
Jason added "Cliff’s a great guy. He always used to come in and do his Irish lottery but never really had much luck so I told him to try the French as it’s much better odds.
"He was a regular for years but comes in less now as he plays a lot of numbers online. We see him now and again and we always chat together.
"Fair play to him, I am delighted. It’s a happy story and we don’t get enough of those. It’s some return from a £3 bet."
Asked about what he plans to do with the winnings, Cliff said, "I’m 64 and I’m cutting down my hours in the taxi. The days of 10 or 12 hour days are behind me so this can be the start of my retirement in a way.
"I’m still playing the lottery though, I have already put my numbers on for the next couple of weeks as they’ve still got the same chance of appearing in the draw."
