Sea Eagles vs Titans Prediction: Sami to strike Gold against super Manly

The Manly Sea Eagles’ incredible charge up the NRL Premiership ladder looks set to continue on Saturday when they facing the struggling Gold Coast Titans at Brookvale Oval (19:35 local, 10:35 BST, Sky Sports Action).
Manly have won six of seven under new coach Kieran Foran, but the Titans have lost four straight and are 2-8 this season in total. Read on for my Sea Eagles vs Titans predictions, the latest team news and Betfred’s match odds.

The home side were always likely to be the favourites, and it was only ever a question of by how much. Betfred has the Sea Eagles at 3/10, which implies a 76.9% probability.
The Titans can be backed at 11/4 and the draw is 18/1.
Team News
With Tolu Koula and Haumole Olakau’atu on Blues duty ahead of Wednesday’s Origin Game 1, Foran has to make changes to his Sea Eagles line-up.
Manly are also without the suspended Lehi Hopoate, so in come Josh Feledy, Jackson Shereb and Blake Wilson.
Zach Dockar-Clay drops out, with Brandon Wakeham back from a one-match ban in the No.9 jumper.
Josh Hannay’s Titans are also without two Origin regs, with Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Jojo Fifita away with the Maroons.
Klese Haas and Jaylan de Groot take their places, while Chris Randall is ruled out with a head injury so Arama Hau is due to start in the second row.
Sea Eagles by 1-12 @ 9/4
I’m not going to shock anyone when I say that Manly are going to win this one, but I think this might come in a little closer than many might predict.
The two-way handicap line is drawn at 12.5 points, and the traders are not often far off in that respect.
While the Titans are also without two Origin stars, the absences of Koula and Olakau’ata may just have a bigger bearing on Manly than Tino and Fifita’s losses will impact the visitors.
Each of Gold Coast’s last three games have come with 16-point losses at best, but I don’t think that run can last forever.
Here, I see them doing just enough to keep it within a couple of scores, and there is undoubted value in backing them to do so at 9/4 and an implied 30.8% probability.

Phillip Sami Anytime Tryscorer @ 11/10
The fact that many of the more prolific tryscorers are missing from either side of the ledger makes for an interesting Anytime market.
I’m a fan of Phillip Sami on the Titans’ wing, and while there are more obvious picks, the 2020 Origin winner with Queensland offers decent value at 11/10 given his four tries in 10 games so far this season and the fact he’s up against a weakened Manly on Saturday.
