Everton vs Sunderland Prediction: Bet on Beto to batter Black Cats

Everton play their final home game of their debut season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as they welcome Sunderland to Merseyside on Sunday (3pm, Sky Sports Premier League).
With Everton four points off the top seven, European football seems unlikely, but they will want to finish on a high. Below you can find my Everton vs Sunderland predictions featuring team news and more.

Team News
Everton boss David Moyes should keep things relatively steady with his team selection as we approach the end of the season. Beto scored so will keep his place up top, while Merlin Rohl may lose his starting spot out wide in favour of Tyrique George.
James Tarkowski and Michael Keane should continue their centre-back partnership, after the former found the net against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Jack Grealish remains out with a broken foot, and Jarrad Brainthwaite continues his recovery from a hamstring issue.
Sunderland remain without the suspended Dan Ballard, while Romaine Mundle and Bertrand Traore are also on the injury table. After a 0-0 with Manchester United, Regis Le Bris is also likely to only make a couple of tweaks to his XI.
Trai Hume should continue on the right of midfield, with Noah Sadiki set to partner captain Granit Xhaka in the middle. Brian Brobbey will continue to lead the line up top on his own, with Wilson Isidor an option from the bench.
Everton vs Sunderland Predicted Lineups
- Everton - Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Garner, Iroegbunam; George, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Beto
- Sunderland - Roefs; Geertruida, Mukiele, Alderete, Reinildo; Xhaka, Sadiki; Hume, Le Fee, Talbi; Brobbey
Everton are priced at 5/6 to win this game, with Sunderland 16/5 to take the three points. A draw is 11/4, over 2.5 goals is 10/11 and BTTS is 4/5.
Beto is the favourite to score first for the hosts at 4/1, with Brobbey 7/1 to bag first for the visitors.
Everton vs Sunderland Stats
- Everton have scored nine goals in their last five matches
- Beto has hit five goals in his last five Premier League appearances
Over 3.5 goals @ 9/4
Could be a fun end of season game this one with nothing seriously on the line for either side. Everton have scored nine goals in their last five matches but won none of them and they’ve also conceded at least twice in each of their last five.
All five of Everton's last matches produced three or more goals while Sunderland have seen both teams score in their last three away games. This should be an entertaining game and I can see plenty of goals at both ends. It looks like a massive price for four goals or more in truth.

Beto to score in both halves @ 18/1
Bit of fun this one. I genuinely think we are in for a bonkers encounter with plenty of goals at both ends, and Beto has stepped up to the plate for the Toffees recently. He’s scored five goals in his last five Premier League appearances and is the focal point of an exciting Everton attack at the moment.
Backing him to score is a bit bland, so how about backing the big striker to score in both halves against Sunderland. It gives us a massive price compared to backing him to score twice (13/2), and I think the Black Cats will struggle to deal with him in Everton’s final home game.
