Things have not got much better since then for the visitors, with their humbling defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders last time out taking them to five defeats from their last six games.

The Capitals have the worst net run rate in the competition and taking them on looks like the perfect opportunity for PBKS to bounce back.

KL Rahul’s 468 runs have been a rare positive for DC but the rest of their batting lineup has struggled and their bowling attack has not been much better.

Even the addition of Mitchell Starc to their ranks has failed to spark a revival, with the Australian going wicketless in their last two matches.
