Chiefs vs Fijian Drua Odds

The Chiefs are the heavy favourites at 1/16 for the win, while Fijian Drua are 15/2 underdogs to leave Christchurch with what would be a memorable victory.

A draw is currently out at 40/1, while Drua, with a +11.5 first-half handicap, are 10/11.

Team News

Starting with the Chiefs, they go with Jared Proffit, Brodie McAlister and George Dyer in the front row, with locks Josh Lord and Tupou Vaa’i in the engine room.

Simon Parker, Jahrome Brown and Wallace Sititi complete the pack, with Cortez Ratima and Damian McKenzie pairing up in the half-backs.

Quinn Tupaea and Kyle Brown are the starting centre partnership, while Daniel Sinkinson, Leroy Carter and Isaac Hutchinson form the back three for the Hamilton outfit.

As for Fijian Drua, they have selected Haereiti Hetet, Zuriel Togiatama and Mesake Doge in the front row, with Mesake Vocevoce and Temo Mayanavanua in the second row.

Etonia Waqa, Kitione Salawa and Isoa Tuwai form the back row, with the half-backs consisting of Frank Lomani and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

Virimi Vakatawa and Maika Tuitubou are the centres, while the visitors go with a back three of Manasa Mataele, Taniela Rakuro and Ilaisa Droasese.

Chiefs -23.5 @ 10/11

Having edged out the Hurricanes 22-17 in a heavyweight showdown in Round 10, the Chiefs will be brimming with confidence ahead of this clash with Fijian Drua in Christchurch.

Drua come into this game on the back of their own impressive win, after downing the Brumbies 33-28 on the road in Canberra.

Backing up that performance at GIO Stadium will be the major challenge for Fijian Drua here and the Chiefs are backed to win and cover the handicap here.

The Chiefs have won their two previous games in New Zealand against Fijian Drua and scored 40+ points in both those matches.

Drua are improving, but overcoming the -23.5 handicap looks achievable for this Chiefs side.
