Getafe vs Barcelona Preview:
Barcelona travel to one of their bogey grounds in La Liga this weekend. They've not won at the Coliseum since 2019, and it won't be any easier this year with Getafe riding high in the table.
Since losing to Girona in February, Hansi Flick's team have reeled off eight straight league victories to take control of the title race. The job isn't quite done yet, though. Four of Barça's final six fixtures are away from home, while one of their two remaining outings at Camp Nou is El Clásico.
If they're going to successfully defend their crown, Barcelona are going to need to do it without Lamine Yamal. The teenager picked up a season-ending hamstring injury in the process of taking a penalty that resulted in the only goal of his team's midweek win over Celta Vigo.
Yamal is expected to be fit for the World Cup, but his absence will pose a real problem for his club over the next few weeks. Even against Celta, almost all of Barça's attacking threat came via the 18-year-old. After his substitution late in the first half, Flick's side barely threatened, with the exception of a brilliant ball in from Pedri that was hammered home by Ferran Torres, only for VAR to spot a marginal offside.
It was a similar story as the Catalans crashed out of the Champions League against Atlético Madrid. Barcelona looked too dependent on their young winger for much of that tie. Flick has been unable to call upon Raphinha, while he seems reluctant to use much of the likes of Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski right now, with the futures of both players uncertain.
Getafe will sense an opportunity to once again be competitive against the reigning champions. Los Azulones have been one of the success stories of the second half of the season in Spain. They rectified their glaring problems up front by signing Luis Vázquez and Martín Satriano on loan in January, and they've carried a greater threat since then.
A 1-0 victory at Real Sociedad in midweek was their seventh win in the space of 10 outings. José Bordalás' side saw off last weekend's cup winners, despite failing to have a single shot on target, with an own goal from Jon Gorrotxategi the difference between the teams.
Getafe have their fair share of critics in Spain, with their defensive, combative style frequently criticised. They're averaging a 40.9% share of possession and just 0.88 goals per game in La Liga. Only Espanyol have had less of the ball, while every other team besides bottom club Real Oviedo has scored more goals.
However, they are really good at what they do, and currently find themselves in sixth place and in with a great chance of European qualification. Even an unlikely crack at next season's Champions League is not totally out of the question, with Spain in with a chance of securing an extra place in the competition.

Team News:
Getafe use a 5-3-2 system, with the spine of Bordalás' team rarely changing from match to match. The home boss will again have to cope without the suspended Zaid Romero here, while he has a fresh injury doubt over midfielder Mario Martín.
Forwards Borja Mayoral and Juanmi are also sidelined, although neither is in a position to compete with Vázquez or Satriano for a starting role up top right now.
Yamal's injury is likely to present another opportunity for Roony Bardghji on the right flank for Barcelona. The visitors will also be missing Raphinha again, as well as the injured Andreas Christensen, and the suspended Eric García.
Young midfielder Marc Bernal is an additional fitness doubt for Flick, who is likely to opt for some rotation following his team's relatively unconvincing display on Wednesday.
Real Betis vs Real Madrid Predicted Lineups
- Real Betis: Valles, Bellerin, Bartra, Natan, Rodriguez, Amrabat, Roca, Antony, Fornals, Ezzalzouli, Hernandez
- Real Madrid: Lunin, Alexander-Arnold, Rudiger, Huijsen, Carreras, Valverde, Bellingham, Tchouameni, Diaz, Vinicius, Mbappe
Match Odds:
Barcelona are priced at 8/13 to extend their current winning streak. If you see them finding it tough going at the Coliseum once more, Getafe are on offer at 4/1 to win the game, while the Draw is available at 3/1.
You can also back Getafe at 11/4 in the Draw No Bet market. They're given a 7/4 chance of winning either half, while you can back the hosts to keep a clean sheet at 4/1.
Alternatively, Barcelona are available at 13/8 to win the game to nil. You can back the visitors to win and under 3.5 goals at 13/10, while Both teams to score is on offer at 5/6.
Lewandowski didn't even get off the bench in midweek, with Ferran seemingly in favour up front right now for the away team. You can back the Spain international to score first at 4/1, and score anytime at 13/10.
Alternative options in the Anytime Goalscorer market include Rashford at 7/4, Vázquez at 13/5, and Mauro Arambarri at 4/1.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid Stats
- Kylian Mbappe in the La Liga top scorer with 24, which is 16 more than Betis' top marksman Cucho, with eight.
- Real Betis have drawn the most games in Spain's top-flight this term with 13.
- Real Madrid have been awarded 14 penalties, 12 more than Real Betis.
- The home side are efficient in front of goal, scoring from 30% of their Shots on Target.
Bet 1 - Under 2.5 goals @ 1/1
Expecting Barcelona matches to be low-scoring is rarely the best approach, but there have been great returns for anyone backing this particular fixture to produce few goals in recent years.
Barça's last win here came via a 2-0 margin nearly seven years ago. Luis Suárez and Gerard Piqué were among their starters on that occasion. A new generation has emerged since then, but remarkably the Catalans have only managed to score one goal across their last five visits to the Coliseum.
Three of those games ended 0-0, and all of them produced two or fewer goals in total. Heading into this latest clash, there's every reason to expect another tight contest as two of the best three defences in La Liga meet. I'm backing Under 2.5 goals at 1/1.
Bet 2 - Getafe to win or draw & Barcelona to score under 1.5 goals @ 7/4
Getafe were 1-0 winners at home to Barcelona in 2020, with all four clashes on this ground since then ending level. They'll be highly motivated this weekend as they continue to push for a place in Europe, and there's a real possibility that the leaders will slip up.
The visitors are missing their two most influential attacking players, with Raphinha and Yamal sidelined. Pedri hasn't hit top form in recent months, while there remains a sense that Flick isn't entirely convinced by his striker options.
Getafe have only conceded more than once on one occasion in 2026. They've already beaten Real Madrid 1-0 on the road this calendar year, and I'm using the Bet Builder to back Getafe to win or draw and Barcelona to score under 1.5 goals at 7/4.
